Lisabetta had decided that she needed to get away from people for the day, and figured the forest would be the best place for that. She sighed as she walked, looking up at the sky through the trees. It looked like it was going to rain, as it often did in Forks. It was late though, the sun was setting already. It had been a long day... lots of people had come to the shop and she had sold a lot of flowers.
A frown crossed her face as she walked, thinking about her shop. She figured she would have to hire someone soon. She was not going to be able to handle the workload herself anymore.
It was complicated however, using her powers she almost needed to hire another vampire, but she didn't know any that she really trusted... she sighed again as she leaned up against a tree. She would have to really look into finding someone, because it was getting suspicious. She knew it had to look strange, that there was only one person working all the time and the flowers were so beautiful...
She was annoyed, because she didn't really want someone under her feet when she was there, but she wanted to look normal. She made a vow to look for someone, but for now she would just enjoy being outside.

This town, Jason couldn’t even begin to describe. It was crawling with vampires and not only that; there was more to this place, smells he couldn’t even begin to understand. To be honest, the newborn’s senses were driving him insane. Everything was heightened. He could hear miles and miles away; see so far and in such detail. He was so, so much stronger, and not just with his senses, oh no, in the physical department as well.
Even though these abilities were probably looked upon by others as a gift, a pretty powerful one, hell, if he was human he would view this as...godlike. But yeah, he was quickly reminded by just how horrible and far from godlike this was as soon as he sank his teeth into a human being and drained their body of blood. He hated killing...at first. And a huge part of him keeps trying to hold on to that hate. But truth was he enjoyed the fresh, warm blood running down his throat far too much to care anymore. He was beginning to accept what he was turned into, but if he had a chance to go back to...normal? He would.
Jason’s been a vampire for a few months now. And by few it's been four...maybe five. He hasn’t met many other vampires before. And he knew almost nothing about being a vampire, just that they had some sort of Volturi to keep the ‘secret’. He was ‘lucky’ enough to run into another nomade who taught him to cover his tracks so the Volturi wouldn’t have to kill him. But, of course Jason being Jason, he eventually drove the nomade away and went on, on his own again.
And that’s when he came into Forks, trying to run away from the sounds of hearts beating all around him. But seems like his senses just pulled him back in. Honestly, Jason viewed this as a little piece of hell. He had nowhere to go. And he couldn’t exactly leave with Jane and Alec around. He still wasn’t sure about those two. They wanted him for his...power? He didn’t even know what that meant. But he kept going on as ‘normal’ as he possibly could and since this was a small town with the Volturi in it, he had to find another way to get his...food. So even though he hated it and preferred it fresh, he stole a few bloodbags from the hospital and managed to keep himself in control...somewhat.
Now, alone, he walked through the forest to try and find a place where there’s no heart beats or anything near him he could kill. But, just as he stopped and leaned against a tree to collect his thoughts, his nose caught a scent...another vampire was close. Naturally his defence went up and he stepped back, looking around him to try and make out if he was in any type of danger. But the scent was far and it was a sweet, calming smell which confused him a bit.
He raised a brow and relaxed in his stance, staring the way of the other, wondering if they knew he was there. Swallowing, not even breathing, he moved forward out of curiosity until he saw her. She was rather far from him, but to a vampire, it was like he was standing but a few feet away. He tilted his head, not sure what to do. Or if he even should speak. But as if something forced the word out of him, he mumbled “Hey...”

Lisabetta was lost in her thoughts, her mind drifting with thoughts of her flower shop and what she was going to do... she was completely unaware of the other vampire at the moment.
She had been alive for so long, she really should know better than to become so lost in her thoughts. It was dangerous to do so, as there were quite a few vampires in Forks. She knew this, she could smell them... she just hadn't met very many yet. She was OK with that, besides the whole 'needs someone to work with her' situation.
Well, perhaps it was just the forest. She always felt so comfortable in the forest, it made her so relaxed. She had lived for many years in the forest before, she enjoyed being in the wilderness. And with her gift, it was easy to make a shelter and the like. She was tempted to live in the forest again, but... she loved her flower shop so much. It took her mind off other things...
Back to her flower shop.
She was stressed about the whole situation, but her attention was brought to focus when she caught wind of his scent. Her eyes darted up and she looked around, her eyes quickly focusing on Jason. She tilted her head slightly as she studied him, and she finally heard him speak. Just a mumbled greeting. She smiled slightly and pushed herself away from the tree, taking a few steps towards him before stopping. She didn't want to get too close, as to make him wary or anything.
"Hello!" The greeting was cheerful, and the smile was still on her face. She wanted to reassure him that she was not a danger to him. She did love meeting new people.
"My name is Lisabetta, who are you?" She had a soft accent, which was just barely there. She tilted her head slightly and watched him, waiting for his response.

Ekkanne sighed as she hefted the backpack on her shoulder and smoothed out the long, pleated, jean skirt she wore, matched badly with a floral orange shirt that displayed an arrangement of flowers that she could name by heart after practically living in the forest instead of the house that the community had provided for her through a lot of paperwork since she couldn't do it herself. They would have put her in an orphanage or something if she hadn't gotten so angry as to throw a desk. A large one at that, then they were to scared to object. Part of her liked how much she was respected, out of fear or not. It had never been like this when she was human, she was always too young for everything! But then again, the good and sane part of her brain told her it was wrong. But what was the use of being good if she was already a monster, a vampire? Sighing, Ekki continued her trek through her beloved forest, picking up flowers and singing softly their names out.
"Azalea, Arum," She sang, wondering why these types of flowers were growing in Forks but pushed it aside as she continued, watching as deer ran around and the birds sang with her.
"Hello," She said softly to a bear cub. It looked up at her with the biggest doe-like eyes you've ever seen and tilted it's head cutely. Giggling, Ekkanne scooped it up and spun as she continued, laughing a little. Stopping so that she wouldn't get dizzy, Ekkanne sat down, fluffing out her skirt and looked at the bear who was staring at her curiously.
"Can I name you Ursa Major?" Ekki asked it and it yipped, snapping it's jaws at it stood. Ekki nodded. "Ursa Major it is. Ursa for short? It means Great Bear in latin, you know," She said conversationally then picked up the bear again and looked up suddenly at the sound of voices. Curiously, she walked towards them and found two older adults. Frowning, she carried the bear with her towards then.
"Hello, what are you two doing in this forest?" She planted herself in between both of them as she held her head, which wore a crown of her favorite flowers that she'd made over the past weeks. Whistling, she called forth her little "army" of animal friends, three deer, one horse from who knows where, and one fully grown bear who seemed irritated.
"I hope your not here to try and cut down the trees again, because I'm nit afraid to stop you. Again." She remembered the first time when they came, tramping through the forest loudly and sawing down trees. It had taken her eighteen deer friends plus her own strength to kick them out of the forest.

”Hello!” she greeted back with an unsuspected cheerful tone and a kind, calming smile "My name is Lisabetta, who are you?" she asked once she stepped closer and Jason felt himself struggle to form words. It wasn’t that he was nervous or scared, but he was most definitely confused. In the past when he met another vampire the first few words between them were always threats, claims of territory or food. Nothing ever went well for this guy; he almost lost his head way more times that he would’ve liked...literally.
Jason’s chest lifted and fell as he remembered he had to breathe once he mumbled a poor greeting towards the other. It was rather clear in his eyes that he was confused, they were filled with questions, but they also hid fear beneath their red, glossy glow. His hands were clenched into two tight fists in defence, but once she spoke and stepped closer, he relaxed his fingers after a second when he realized, for once, that the vampire before him had no intentions of starting something that will only result in their death. Or his.
But to be honest, Jason had grown a bit of an ego, not that he didn’t have one as a human. But he realized that he was stronger than others, and as he discovered when another nomad tried to kill him, he could make people do whatever he wanted them to. Though this ability only seemed to work when the adrenalin was sky rocketing. At first, he thought it was something all vampires could do. But after his little chat with one of the Volturi members that could torture someone by a simple look, his theory was proven wrong. He wasn’t even sure if he could do everything they guessed he could, but he was more than willing to practice his ‘gift’ to improve it and find out.
But in all honesty, a fight was the last thing he wanted. Conflict, verbal or physical, was number one on his ‘avoid at all costs’ list. For now all he wanted was somewhere he could be a little more at peace with himself, somewhere he could learn more and actually get by without making an enemy, which was one of his unwanted talents. So, she was giving him a chance to actually be an approachable and socially capable person again. Well, if ‘person’ was a way to describe them. And he wasn’t going to be a jerk and push this away.
“Lisabetta...? Nice name,” he finally uttered words, but it came off a bit awkward. He looked down at the ground and realized how close she was, and at first he wanted to step back, still a bit cautious, but he took a deep breath and returned his eyes to lock with hers “I’m Jason” a small, faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he waited on her response, but then, a very unexpected little girl walked in between Lisabetta and him with a little bear in her hands, which caused Jason to raise both of his brows.
He quickly took in a breath through his nose and realized this child was not human, shockingly enough, she was one of them. But her eyes were gold, and Jason didn’t understand how that could be. He stepped away from the child, not sure what to say or what to do. His defences was right back up again and his hands were once again fists as he looked around him, confused, mainly at all the sudden animals that appeared around them “Okay, what’s going on?”

Lisabetta could tell that Jason was confused. He was very confused indeed.
She tilted her head slightly as he spoke his murmured greeting, and she was glad that she had not gotten closer to him. She did not want to spook him, or scare him off. He must be really new to be so confused... and for some reason that made Lisabetta's instincts jump on edge. Luckily she had had a mentor, but to just be created and dumped to figure everything out? That was terrifying to her.
But it seemed like he was going to trust her, and that he was not going to attack her either. She had no plans of it either, like him, confrontation was not exactly her favorite thing.
She shifted from foot to foot, her eyes focused on his as he looked back up at her and said her name. A smile crossed her face again as he spoke his own name, and nodded her head slightly. "It's a pleasure, Jason."
But then things got very, very strange.
Her gaze drifted to the small vampire that showed up between them, and she frowned. Well, that was... interesting. She was so young...
However, she seemed to threaten the two of them, and that annoyed Lisabetta to no end. The ground seemed to shift slightly beneath the little girl's feet, and Lisabetta opened her mouth to speak. "Now now, you should learn some manners..." Especially to call the animals forth?
Lisabetta was quite irritated.
