The Cullen family didn't know a lot about Zoey. For instance, like how her bloodline came from a long stream of ancient werewolf rulers. Also known as, the Quilettes. Zoey, herself, didn't want them to know all that bad. How would they react to her being part werewolf? Especially a Quilette, the Cullens' long time rivalries. It was best no one knew. The young girl (At least in vampire years) had completely forgotten how to shift into a wolf. Unlike the others, she couldn't just become mad and poof! It's a giant dog! No, ever since Carlisle helped her, it had been harder to do that until she gave up and just simply forgot. For some reason though, she'd held onto the memory of shifting into a lion. She felt powerful and majestic as one, when she was a lion, she felt like nothing else mattered but her. No more problems, all she had to worry about was herself. Thus, Zoey had sneaked out of the Cullen house to go stroll the beach in her lion form. This could be dangerous, in risk of exposing shifters and the like but there was also one, small problem. It was three in the morning. Meaning, no one in their right mind would be awake.
Sighing, Zoey padded along the perimeter of La Push beach lazily, letting herself stray close enough to the shore for water to lap at her furry paws. Blinking, she spotted a cliff silhoutted by the sun. Grinning, showing her dagger like teeth, Zpey bounded across the beach in three, quick, strides and ended up at the edge with the wind blowing back her fur. Taking a deep breath, Zoey risked it all and let out a rumbling roar full of passion, delight, and something else she couldn't put her finger on. Satisfied, she layed down and watched the sun rise, her eyelids drooping.

Luna had watched a girl leave her family's house and she threw on a pair of jeans and a shirt with a silver wolf on it. She put on converse and she left the house. She shifted into her silver wolf form and she followed the girl, who had turned into a lion. She shifted quickly into her hawk form and flew over the lion. She let out a hawk cry and followed the girl to the beach. She flew down onto the beach and landed. She eyed the lion in her hawk form and she shifted into her human form. Her long copper hair cascaded down her back and she looked at the lion with her copper eyes. She stood near the lion and she kept her copper eyes on the lion. She sighed and sat down on the beach a good distance from the lion and she kept her copper eyes on her.

A hawk cry reached her ears. Zoey looked up to see a beautiful hawk soaring over her head but it was disrupting her peace. Snapping her jaws at it, she layed back down. She could feel the burning stare of a person on her as she shifted so that her fur glinted gold in the sunlight and her fur warmed considerably. Yawning widely, she showed off her giant dagger like fangs while thinking how awkward it was that she always shifted into a male lion instead of female which she was. It didn't feel very different from being a female though, she was sure as she'd read many books on the difference between male and female lions with the exception of a mane and being generally lazy. Still, that burning stare never left her so she turned her head sharply towards the left and then the right. After doing this about eight times, she finally spotted a very pale, copper haired, copper eyed girl. Growling, she roared loudly at the girl who looked remarkably like a vampire. Getting up slowly, her amber eyes glinted as she prepared to pounce. Although, she hesitated. What if this female vampire was a Cullen? True, Zoey wasn't very good with her "Family" and never really interacted with them, you'd expect for her to at least know who her "Family" was but in all honesty, she didn't keep track of all the people Dr. Carlise Cullen was saving nowadays.
Waiting for a good minute, she contemplated on attacking the girl, or at least tackling her to the ground when a strange smell wafted towards her. She blinked. One. Two. Three. Four. Was that...The smell of a fellow shapeshifter? Without thinking, Zoey shifted back into her human self with her sharp amber/brown eyes glaring at the girl almost kindly (If you can actually look kind while glaring at someone), her blonde hair cascading down her back in slight waves while she wore a bright yellow, "FORKS HIGH!" T-Shirt with mud splattered jeans and sneakers. Zoey folded her arms over her chest as her glare faded along with her suspicions of the girl being a vampire. Some vampirey part of her felt disgusted that she actually wanted her to be a werewolf but, as almost always, her werewolf part won completely. Smiling softly at the copper haired girl, she flicked a curl of blonde hair away from her face where it had annoyingly fallen into her eyes.
"Are you a shapeshifter?" She asked, remembering the pretty hawk that had flown over her earlier. "Were you the hawk that I had snapped at?" She didn't expect a yes since most shapeshifters were werewolves but couldn't shapeshift into anything other than that. Rarely were there ever werewolves who could shift into a bigger variety of animals but it would make sense if this girl was. "I'm Zoey Kristaria Anderson, or Cullen, if you please," She introduced herself, oddly adding her middle name in as she always did.

Luna saw the lion shifted into a human form and she nodded. "Yes, it was me and yes I'm a shifter. I can shift into three forms, my three forms is a hawk, silver wolf with golden eyes and a brown horse with brown eyes." she said. She heard the girl introduce herself as a Cullen and she focused her copper eyes on her. "Nice to meet you. My name is Luna Cullen, the youngest sister in the Cullen family."she said and she fought the urge to turn into her wolf form and she fixed her copper hair and she brushed it away from her face. She didn't like the fact that her family didn't tell her about this girl and she sighed softly. She turned her copper gaze out at the ocean and she glanced back at the girl that was sitting next to her. "So, how come I've never seen you before at the house?" she asked

Zoey watched Luna carefully as the tension thickened around the two girls and she thought she saw a but of uneasiness in the other shapeshifter's eyes which made her a bit sad. She wanted to be like sisters with Luna, she was the first ever shapeshifter she'd met. Of course, Zoey had heard of the La Push werewolves but she really couldn't remember how to shift into a wolf anymore. Either she was truly never really angry at all or that the key to phasing wasn't anger for her. Whatever it was, Zoey missed being a wolf. She could only remember what it felt like. The grass tickling your paws as you padded along, the breeze pulling at your fur and the sun shining, blinding you a little as you gave a howl of joy. There was nothing better than being a wolf and she hated that she couldn't become one again. Hated it. And right then, sitting on that cliff, watching the beach a little ways away from them with the sparkling, reflecting, blue making her head spin, she felt pathetically jealous of Luna. Not only could this girl be a wolf but she could also experience what it felt like fly! And as they usually say, "Flying is like a dream" there wasn't anything else could want, it's the dream that the youngsters have when their little. "Mommy! Can you take me flying?" Oh yes, Zoey couldn't even imagine flying, the wind hitting you at full force and the beautiful landscape below. The amber haired girl sucked in a breath, her breath hitching as her eyes glazed over in deep desire for the feeling that she imagined. Flying, she wanted it. Glancing over at Luna, she let the surge of jealousy hit her, her eyes narrowing as she frowned a little. Why did Luna have to have all the talent? The Cullen before her could be a horse too for goodness sakes' and she was probably the best liked Cullen judging from the way Zoey had heard Rosalie talking about her from time to time. The unfairness of it all made her want to run away. Luna was perfect, she could shift into three of the best animals there were and what could Zoey do? She couldn't phase into a wolf but only shift into a lion and a male one at that. And of course, the perfects were to never interact with the uglies, right? Zoey knew it wasn't going to do her any good, thinking like this but she couldn't help it. Luna was a hundred times better than her! Why couldn't Zoey be as gorgeous as Luna? Sure, Zoey was pretty especially with her vampiric enhancements but she could remembering being that plain blonde haired freak in her past life. The brown haired nerd with braces and glasses, that's what she had been. Luna had probably been a kid model, there wasn't any doubt in Zoey's mind and that only inflamed her jealousy more. Her jealous attitude clouded her thoughts so much that it took her several minutes to register what the other girl had said.
"So why haven't I seen you around the house?" Luna had said. Why? Oh, maybe because she didn't belong as a shapeshifter, maybe her family hated her, maybe it was just because she apparently wasn't good enough for any darn person! Now Zoey's mind was going haywire with her insecurities, jealousy, and depression. Biting her lip, the amber haired girl tried not to cry but she couldn't help the dead giveaway deep, shuddering, breaths that she had to suck in to prevent this. It didn't help much. Warm, hot, tears leaked out and she found herself bawling. She hadn't even answered Luna. Maybe she thought Zoey was some kind of weirdo, taking ten minutes to actually register a simple question and bursting out in tears instead of answering. Suddenly, the thought of fleeing seemed very much more appealing to her. Maybe it was because of the too many emotion clouding her thoughts or maybe it was because she was plain stupid. Either way, the next thing she did was utterly dreadful. Without thinking, her fingers twitched and floated to the rocky edge of the cliff they sat on. Looking down at the swirling, churning waters, a teardrop splashed against the surface and she realized it was her own. Suddenly, she was falling. The wind whipping her hair and her clothes flying up and her eyes widening as she dropped like a stone. It all happened so fast that it felt slow. She realized they'd been up further of the cliff so her fall was going to be greater which was bad. Her mind scrambled for something good to reflect on of this situation as the water glared at her from below, getting nearer and nearer. All she could think about then was how hard the impact would be. Even this fall would be injure a vampire, especially one that was unprepared and couldn't swim for the life of her. She opened her mouth and it instantly became dry.
"Ahhhhhhhhh!" By then she had shut her eyes as the fall continued, her scream being carried on the wind with a haunting note that made even her shoulders. And suddenly the ear piercing, bone chilling, shrill, shriek was cut off. The silence was more scary than the scream itself. Zoey flailed about as the breath left her, bubbles floated up wildly as she thrashed, causing unbearable agony to spread throughout her. She wanted to scream but she was choking. She wanted to swim back up but her body didn't seem to want to. Her head hit the cliff wall as the water current beat at her painfully. Her eyesight started to get fuzzy as her head started to hurt. Badly. Pushing herself away from the cliff wall, thankful for the hardness of her skin that was protecting her fingers and head from getting cut on the jagged chunks of rock, she drifted back into the current that beat her mercilessly. The water chose that time to snap her awake. The coldness awakened her senses and fiercely, she kicked her legs, propelling herself up towards the surface that seemed centuries away. She chewed at her lip as tears pricked at her eyes when the pain erupted. And then she broke the surface.

Luna involuntary rubbed the scars and burns on her arms. Her copper eyes softened and she gasped as she watched her fall. She wanted to go and help her but she didn't know how to swim thanks to her ignorant parents. She whimpered and stood up. "I'll come down and help you." she called down to her. She looked around for something and she whimpered again. She continue to rub her scar and burnt covered arms. She started to shake a little and she looked around for someone to help them. She looked down and she wanted so desperately to jump and help her. She whimpered again and closed her copper eyes. Could she do it? Could she really jump in to help her even thought she didn't know how to swim? She opened her copper eyes and she tried to calm herself down.
