Milly sighed as she walked out of the forest. She'd just come back from her jog down the forest path, stopping once in a while to marvel at the wild animals but eventually move on and now she was sitting on a blanket eating a salad near the water's end at the beach. The wind ruffled her hair slightly as she cracked open her book and animal medications and whatnot. Instead of reading the pages, Milly found herself staring out at the ocean. It was beautiful and she liked how the sun glinted off of it and made it look like a sort of dream. Sighing, she closed her book and decided it wasn't the time to read when it was. Such a pretty day. And she wanted to enjoy it as days like this were a bit uncommon in Forks. Smiling, she walked to the waters edge and dipped her toes in she pulled a small and furry animal out of her picket. The mouse was tiny but very cute with it's beady red eyes darting this way and that and it squeaked lightly. This mouse, Alai, was her new pet as she'd just bought him a few minutes ago.

Laila was driving around not doing much of anything. Naturally she had some clothing of sorts in the back end of her car. She had always been extra careful seeing as what she was. You could never be too careful in case the shifting ability kicked in at an unexpecting time. Normally the only time a wolf could shift was a few days in the month but that was for a different type of wolf if that was even true. You could never tell what was true about wolves or vampires and what was false. She was listening to a tape that had a guy speaking on myths of the supernatural. She was the type that loved to hear how stupid the so called experts were when it came to that issue. Then she came to the First Beach in La Push. She had heard that there was a wolf pack in La Push but she did not know what their policy about unexpecting visitors on their land was. She dug through her clothes and found a beach blanket, bikini, and a beach towel. She chuckled at how she had so much different stuff she had with her.
She then walked to a building that she could enter and change her clothes. She came out wearing the clothes that she had brought. She carried the blanket towards the beach. She saw a young girl playing with a little mouse like animal after dipping her feet in the water. Laila chuckled and asked” So you like furry little animals? At least you do not seem to be the type that hunts down poor furry animals and kills them for their meat. That is just barbaric. How is the water?”

Milly was startled by the voice that broke her concentration of making Arai do the tango with a nonexistent female mouse partner, complete with twirls and dips and all that. Even though she'd heard the footsteps, bare feet brush against the sand making the faintest of noises, she was still surprised when a girl approached her and even jumped. Warily, she set Arai down on her knee where he could scurry around and looked at the girl. She was pretty, that was un doubtful. With her long, auburn hair, and pretty brown eyes as she wore a bikini. She held a towel and a blanket as well and Milly smiled as nicely as possible as she held up Arai playfully.
"This guy? Oh, he's Arai and why of course I love to play with him! He's just so cute!" Grinning, Milly smiled and hugged her mouse softly and gently as it was extremely small and she didn't want to suffocate it.
"Woah. Why would I kill them? I'm a vegetarian, I can't eat meat for the life of me. It's just...Yeah, barbaric!" Milly said, nodding. She remembered when her mother had gotten a hamburger of horse meat that had made her throw up because it reminded her too much of her own horse who was, in Connecticut currently. Then, grinning, she kicked her legs, causing the water to ripple.
"Oh, yes! The water's very nice. Do you want to join me? Although, you'll have to place your towel farther up the beach," She responded cheerily as she patted the sand beside her. The water was deep enough for her to sit right at the shore and not have her feet touch the bottom as she figured some kids had scooped a hole into it but that was fine with her since she didn't want to go out far. She scooted over a little bit so the girl would have room.
"By the way, I'm Rayne Gardener. Um, please call me by my middle name, Milly," She chattered on. "What's your name?"

Laila had been speaking to the girl on the beach . The other girl spoke about the mouse that she was playing with. Laila said" That is a strange name. How did you come up with a name like Arai?. I can think of other animals when I think of the word cute. I am not saying mouse are bad . I am just saying I do not think of mice and cute should go into the same sentence." Laila paused while the other girl spoke about something Laila said. Laila said" Yeah I can not think for the life of me how people can eat meat from a animal . What has that animal done to people to deserve such crule punish ment.I usually eat salad or something that does not have to do with killing animals."
Laila saw the girl kicking her legs at the water and it reminded Laila about how kids would do that, Laila chuckled at the thought of that. Laila said" I think i will join you. That was the main reason I came to the beach. Laila could feel the body heat of her self and knew it was due to being a wolf. She then placed her towel farther up the beach, then walked back down to the other girl . She sat down as the other girl had down and kicked her legs at the water. Laila said" Nice to meet you Milly. I am laila Williamson. But close friends call me Lai Lai. It is a strange nickname that caught on. You know how that goes?"
