Hunter wondered the town aimlessly. He wore his favorite trench coat, a black muscle shirt with a red unbuttoned dress shirt, and a pair of tighter jeans with his combat boots. In his mouth a Cuban cigar and he walked his dog, Spike. He knew that having a big dog in a small town made people nervous but he had the money from his studio work, his photography and a few other odd jobs. He didn't ind that he had made a lot of the humans nervous, but he loved it more when he made vampires nervous just with him having a huge dog like Spike who could rip any limb off with a nice clean cut. Smirking at that thought he stopped in a small cafe, leaving Spike out side, chained to the poll, the hug dog obediently and loyally lied down and waited for his master to take him for more of a run. Hunter never used his full speed on the dog but he could handle a good jog. Ordering a coffee he looked out at the cloudy day that he just started over Forks. Shaking his head he finished the coffee off within minutes and started on his adventure. He had patrolled most of his area this morning and found a lot of Wolf tracks tracking around his house. He knew that they would some time ore another, knocking on his door demanding an explanation, he hoped to find Carlisle before then. Spike barked and let out a low growl as a few vampires passed by them, he didn't recognize any of them and just kept on his way. Putting his dark sunglasses on, he said in German. "Come Spike, lets go home." His voice barely auto-able to anyone but himself and his dog, the Dog let out a whimper of disprovable but followed his masters commands and turned towards, La Push reserve. He hoped that he don't cause to much trouble in this town, but he had a feeling that the Volturi had already done that. He had found that half of cigar he had put out and re lite it and looked around admiring the small town for a few moments. His thoughts went to The Volturi, they almost sickened him, even made him sick that he wanted to be like them for a while. Now he stood in, almost freedom, and grinned at the thought, with a dark chuckle he watched the sun set as he started his long walk home, if only he didn't want to take his time, he would have been home before the sun settled. He kept wondering in and out of the little shops around Forks, bored out his bloody mind, his dog getting sick of walking. Picking up the dog with ease he ran him home and ran back to Forks, now he could relax without having to worry about his dog. His mind went back to one of those painful memory's that made him stop for a few moments and sit on a bench while it flashed threw him.
FLASHBACK-ITALY
Hunters body shook with anger as Alec pulled him into the throne room to have an audience with Aro, Marcus, Caius, Sulpicia [Aro's wife],Athenodora [Caius's wife], Didyme (Marcus's wife), Jane who held on to his beloved Haruka, Alec, and Felix. He roared in rage while swearing in a few languages. "Why have you done this Aro?" He asked, demanding for an answer. "We told you, join us or she parishes. We gave you a week, that week has been up. Your answer must be yes or she will surly die." Aro said with a sadistic smile. Alec moved Hunter so he could see Haruka. The wives left and now they were left, in total heart breaking silence. "I am sorry my love, I cannot go with to the heavens." Hunter muttered while he took in a breath and yelled, "I REFUSE!" He could feel Jane trying her hardest to cause him pain, her brother trying to make him focus on Haruka's neck being snapped by Aro. She was no use for Aro and Aro wanted Hunter. The last image to goes threw Hunters mind before he blackout and had escaped The Volturi, he found himself far from Italy and his mind grieving once again.
Hunter shivered as that memory went threw his mind, he hated being haunted by his past. He got up and looked at the time on his iPhone that he bought not to long again, the thing was like an expensive pocket watch that did shit that confused him. It was almost six.

Being human in a town where there were supernatural creatures afoot would normally make someone like her a bit nervous. But it didn’t. For one thing she knew what she was up against. She knew there were different kinds of individuals in this town, and from over in La Push.
Between the shifters, to the vampires...everything was different. She knew it was a world that she would have been involved with more directly had she become a vampire and Edward Cullen’s wife.
With as much as she had seen over the last few years, her own wedding in shambles, very little had surprised her. She had loved animals, and that had shown when she had been so easily able to make friends with the shifters over in La Push. Of course that of course had come with a cost, one she hadn’t been able to see coming. Enjoying the day she thought she would go for a walk and just enjoy herself.
After leaving Charlie’s with a nice green top and jeans, she grabbed her cell phone and left a note for Charlie to let him know to call her if he needed to, since she was still staying with him until she was able to transition into a place of her own. Most would find that she was too old to be staying at home but given the circumstances, she just needed to long enough for her to save up enough money to move out. She had the day off from the diner, where she and Charlie often went to eat six years ago.
Most would be oblivious to what was actually going on that particular day. But with certainty she knew that the Cullens were not the only vampires that came in and out of Forks on a daily basis, but the ones that did, there was no telling if they were the vegetarian sort or the carnivourous kind. Being a human she was able to travel safely between La Push and Forks without the treaty being broken which was precisely why she was okay with what she was doing. She hadn’t seen Jacob or the pack since she had returned to town and knew she had to at least try. Try to find him and appologize for leaving so quickly. But now was not the time or the place for that as Billy Black had told her that Jacob was out for the day.
Returning to Forks after visiting Jacob’s house, she sighed. What to do now? There was so much that she wanted to accomplish and so little time. She knew that the Cullens, her ex-fiancee and his family were back, which meant more than likely others would be coming close as well. Just like Laurant, James and Victoria had years earlier, even though now all three were dead, but that was besides the point. After what seemed to be a long time walking she finally stopped and sat on a bench, though she didn’t pay attention to who was there sitting next to her at first. But when she did, she knew that it wasn’t a typical human male, but that of a vampire. It became evident that the other man was deep in thought and she didn’t know whether or not she should introduce herself. Or whether she should say anything to him at all.

He finally found the source that also pulled him out of that terrible memory, a human lady sat next to him. He had just feed not long ago so he was fine , but her blood still was intoxicating. Swallowing the lump that had formed in his throat, he smiled. "Oh, I am Hunter, Hunter Valentine. Sorry if I startled you." He said to her with a slight Irish accent. He noticed something odd about this girl, almost similar to his ability to block others abilities from harming himself. Brushing it off as nothing he left that alone. He noticed similarities between the officer and this women. "You wouldn't happen to know Officer Swan would you?" He said notice more and more how similar the two looked. Her dark eyes similar to that of Mr. Swan. He liked Mr. Swan as soon as he met the man. He did not like the law much but it was handy to have a good officer on his side. Over the years he had befriended a lot of different people. Some even came from the native land of La Push who had passed on many years ago. So knowing people was something Hunter loved to do. Even a few humans have standed to be his friend despite his vampire status. He never told many of them about his immortal status though, because it would be breaking his own rules, yes he has his version of the Volturi laws. He hadn't broken many of them but a few he stays loyal to. Knowing his limits he stood up and sat across from her, not causing confusion he explained; "Your scent is a little more potent then your fathers, even for my own age I have limits and I am older then I look." He said, because he notice that she knew what he was already. Her eyes gave off that knowledge. "Tell me, of vampires who in this town did you meet first...I am looking for someone in particular. Fear not that I am an enemy but a friend." He said with a quick glance around who was here at this time of the evening, no one really, good, he liked the quiet evening. He rather not pester himself with unwanted fights from the Wolf packs that hunted near his property. So he kept himself mostly near Forks. He knew this women knew something and his need to know was tearing him apart. He desperately wanted Carlisle's help and he hoped she knew. Even being not apart of the Volturi Hunter still had his fingers dipped into their communications and he had heard things of a certain human that caught Aro's attendance that alone was dangerous. He couldn't see anyone get hurt from those men. He hoped that he could stop Aro's domination and bring peace with the Vampires with a rule that was not as sadistic as Aro had planned what ever it was. He watched this human lady, her movements clumsy, fidgety and nervous. His presence made her an guard, it was that she didn't trust him it was that she didn't know him. He had a way of reading people and found little tricks over the centuries.

When the man next to her began to smile she returned it. Knowing of course he was hesitating on what he was doing, as she could tell he was somewhat nervous and most likely...from what she had known about vampires from Edward, he was most likely trying to resist the blood lust that a human like her’s blood would sing to them. When he introduced himself, she turned to face him so she could see his face better. Taking a deep breath she felt herself get a little more comfortable with the situation.
“Nice to meet you, Hunter. And it’s okay. I guess I was in thought myself.” She said as she could hear his irish accent. She couldn’t help but chuckle. “Yes...I know Charlie. He’s my—well he’s my father for lack of a better term.” She said as she always loved the man but they didn’t have the best father daughter relationship. Although some of it was awkward, especially after she left Edward standing at the Alter. She was pretty sure that her father expected her to go back to Jacob but even that wouldn’t have made sense to her. “My scent? Vampires? A friend? And who exactly are you looking for?”
She said avoiding the question as she wasn’t about to give out information if he was looking for her vampiric ex’s family. Was she nervous? Slightly but that was because she’d been burned by vampires before. Like with James, and Victoria and even Laurant, something of which she did not want a repeat of. Because this time, she wouldn’t have Edward or his family’s help, all because she’d broken Edward’s heart.
Of course there were things she did think of, after it was all said and done. The Volturi would most likely know by now that she was not a vampire, and to be honest she was surprised they hadn’t come to Forks already. Aro especially wanted her to join them, even as a human, because he seemed to think she would possess a great gift once she was a vampire. But even then, it could also mean that he just wanted her dead. Marcus, Aro and Caius were each crafty in their own ways, although Aro was more sadistic than the other two. On top of his gift, he also possessed two in his guard that were as highly dangerous, Alec and Jane, twin vampires who were as deadly as the other. Alec who possessed an ability to make someone lose all of their senses, and not just dealing with one person but he could infect an entire group. Whereas his sister Jane could only put one person in pain for any length of time which was equally as dangerous, maybe even more so.

He watched her movements, stiff still and yet defiant and ready for anything.“Nice to meet you, Hunter. And it’s okay. I guess I was in thought myself.” She said replying to his first comment and introduction. He hoped that he wasn't being to old fashioned with his words. “Yes...I know Charlie. He’s my—well he’s my father for lack of a better term.” She said with a chuckle. He hoped that he was being friendly and not to pushy towards her. “My scent? Vampires? A friend? And who exactly are you looking for?” She said a little quickly, he knew she knew something. "I'm sorry, I must have you nervous as hell, just a stranger randomly here. Can I offer you coffee? I would love to talk to you about a few things." He said while gesturing towards the dinner. He hoped that his intuition about this girl was right and he had found the human Aro had wanted to be the newest addition. Having heard of Hybrids and other things from Hunters informants he need to find her before they did. He knew that if he was being to forward she probably would have ran off a long time ago, so he hoped that to be a positive sign. As a vampire he ate like a normal human to put off suspicious glances and even found it to keep his craving for blood down lower. Sometimes the tastes even though they seemed bland some seemed to be more flavorful to him. He found his hobby with making different foods as well to come in handy over the years. He knew that when he was with the Volturi Carlisle was trying to push the Vegetarian ways on to the Volturi but they never liked to idea they liked having humans as their food. Hunter at one point did just think of humans as nothing les then his food, but when he fell for that human at one point in time, it changed his point of view. Now he has been drinking animal blood for almost 200 years and has found it easier to be around them. He now protects a lot of humans and has a few friends here and there. Mostly FBI Agents, Government officials, things that come of use for a vampire over 300 years old. He never truly cared about his birthday as a human nor his rebirth so he found himself timeless. He had hoped to gain knowledge as to why Aro finds that human so much of his interest he almost would start a war? It was something that baffled him, Hunter always was confused on why Aro wanted so much power and needed such gifts. He loved his abilities to block others gifts from harming only himself and the ability to find other vampires or shifters or hybrids with a simple feeling. He knew that Wolfs had been increasing in numbers because of his and others arrival to Forks, he felt bad for making some of these people's children turn but hey he had a mission.

She tried to relax as she looked at him. Relaxation was key although it wasn’t easy to relax with all the pressures she’d dealt with. And who she had hurt in the process. It was all crazy. But then again, only in Forks would she find herself surrounded by vampires..no matter the type. But she figured if he was the carnivourous sort, she would have been bled dry by now. At least in theory, according to what she knew could happen.
She smiled warmly when he said said he was sorry. She didn’t understand what there was to be sorry about. “I’m Bella, Bella Swan. I guess I should have said so before now, but like you said, I don’t normally find myself alone with a vampire....so you’re what a vegetarian, vampire that is?” She asked growing a little more confident with the time that was passing now. “Yeah we can stop by the diner...” Taking a deep breath she looked at Hunter. Alot of the time things had happened for a reason and she was comfortable with the way Forks was, and it hadn’t truly changed all that much. She knew of the shifters, of what their purpose was, and what the purpose of the vegetarian vampires like the Cullens were.
She couldn’t help but chuckle lightly when he mentioned that they needed to talk about a few things. “Well what would you like to talk about? You’ll have to forgive me, it’s been a while since I’ve talked with a vampire who didn’t want to end my life for one reason or another.”
She stood up and she moved a strand of hair out of her face. She had known so many different people, both vampires, shifters and other humans like herself. She had almost been a vampire once although that was nothing but a distant memory now. She wished she hadn’t hurt Edward the way that she had, but alas it had happened anyway.
Of course she had more than just the typical....normal, human life. Six years it had been since she had been in the company of a vampire without there being some kind of problem. And it felt nice. Although there were risks involved, like with any other situation. Of course there were things she wished she knew, of course. Of what might have been.
Dealing with the fact she was once engaged to a vampire made things all the more complicated. “So why don’t you tell me who it is you’re looking for. Because you sounded as though, you thought I knew who it was....” She replied, not knowing what to expect.

She smiled warmly when he said said he was sorry. He liked her smile, it was so human and kindhearted. “I’m Bella, Bella Swan. I guess I should have said so before now, but like you said, I don’t normally find myself alone with a vampire....so you’re what a vegetarian, vampire that is?” She asked. He chuckled a bit after what she asked him, not many humans asked his diet His mind was now focused on the present and not the past. "That was a complicated answer, if you would have asked me that a decades back I would have said no. But Yes, Bella, I am a vegetarian vampire." Hunter explained to her with a smirk. “Yeah we can stop by the diner...” Taking a deep breath she looked at Hunter. He wondered what went threw her mind at that moment. He was glad she accepted his offer.
She chuckled lightly when he mentioned that they needed to talk about a few things. “Well what would you like to talk about? You’ll have to forgive me, it’s been a while since I’ve talked with a vampire who didn’t want to end my life for one reason or another.” She said with slight fear. He knew a bit about the incidents that happened here but he had kept his mouth shut about that, he didn't want to seem like he was following her. He had hoped that she didn't think that he wanted to harm her in anyway, he wouldn't do that. She stood up and she moved a strand of hair out of her face. He liked humans for their fragile bodies and their short life spans. Their odd way of life always made him ponder as to why he never thought of staying human, then again he wouldn't have had the fun he did as a vampire. “So why don’t you tell me who it is you’re looking for. Because you sounded as though, you thought I knew who it was....” She replied, he got this feeling that she didn't know what to expect. No one really did when speaking to Hunter he had always a way with his words. He thought about how to bring up that fact he was looking for Carlisle. "I'm looking for a old friend who was with the Volturi many years ago. I heard he possibly lives in this town..." He replied to her trying to keep his words of information as less derailed as he could till he was sure. He had also hoped that Carlisle would help him, but he didn't know Carlisle that well having only knew him back when he was with the Volturi. Hunter had wanted to try the Diners hot chocolate, his favorite hot drink besides tea. For an older vampire everyone would have thought of him as a old fashioned man and not always going out exploring the world, but Hunter couldn't stand staying in once place for to long. He remembered seeing a therapist and they had told him he had ADHD, what ever that was, he didn't care nor need a doctor telling him that he had something they never had when he was a kid. His foot started to twitch a little so he stood up and gestured to wars the Diner. "Ladies first.... He told her politely. No matter how old he got or where he was he had a respect for women that most men didn't know the meaning to. I guess it just the older guys, he thought to himself.

She couldn’t help but smile. “Everything can be considered complicated, Hunter. And a diet is just the tip of the iceburg. Wouldn’t be the first time I’d stumbled across the other kind.....the carnivourous sort.” She explained as she returned the smirk he had given her. Of course she was a bit fearful of what was going on. After she had dealt with James...what he was capable of, and the others—the Volturi, nothing should surprise her. And yet each day things had been a bit more difficult than the last. When he mentioned that he was in fact looking for an old friend, her mind thought of only one possible choice. Carlisle. Or one of his family members. Either which way she was not going to rat them out, to expose them for who they were—no matter who this guy was. Vampire or not, she wasn’t about to let information slip out about what she knew especially since the Volturi would be looking for her, if they still remembered what it was she, Alice and Edward had promised.
She half heartedly wished she could be out in the open with people but she couldn’t. Because it would not only endanger their lives, but her own. Carlisle was a good man and she didn’t want to see harm befall him or his family—despite how much pain she’d caused him and his family when she’d hurt Edward. No matter what the reason had been.
Taking a deep breath she smiled innocently as she moved toward the diner. She hadn’t liked staying in one place for too long after graduation. It was precisely why she wondered for how long she’d be back in Forks this time. Her mom had wanted her to come to Jacksonville where she and Phil were still living at, but she just couldn’t. She needed to spend some time alone with Charlie, at least until she got the courage to admit that she screwed things up. Either which way—she had lost the one person who had loved her despite the risk, someone whom she had loved fiercely but had been afraid of the consequences. Of what her actions would bring upon not only him, to his family but to her own as well. Which was why she left.
When he politely told her ladies first, it made her chuckle. She hadn’t met too many men—no matter which species, human...vampire or shifter that was as polite as he was. “Thank you.” She said as she walked slightly in front of him but not too far ahead just in case this was some kind of trap. Although she didn’t believe it was, but one could never be certain in this day and age. Entering the diner first, she looked around for a familiar face and found one. “Table for two please, Cara, thanks.” Cara was a waitress here and she had worked with her on several occassions. She turned to face Hunter as she wondered what he might be asking her to do next.
When Cara returned a few minutes later, they were shown a table toward the back of the diner, where she always sat when she came in, her own table, in a sense since she had started being a regular here. “Hope this is alright, I figured we could use the privacy back here.” She grinned, plus she was hopeful that things would get easier with time. She was already more confident now than she had been when she had first seen him.

She smiled and replied to his comment about his diet, “Everything can be considered complicated, Hunter. And a diet is just the tip of the iceberg. Wouldn’t be the first time I’d stumbled across the other kind.....the carnivorous sort.” She explained as she returned the smirk he had given her. He didn't mind her, Bella seemed like a good person and he liked her way of talking and how she sat. Even he could sense the slight fear coming off her, only a vampire as old as him could pick up something as tiny as that. He knew a lot about psychology of a human having a life time to read books it got to be a bore after a while. Picking up a few books from stores about the human mind was nothing Hunter would hide. He found it interesting to study a humans mind and then compare it to his theoretically modified vampire brain. Another thing he wanted to speak to Carlisle about was immortal children, yes he found them to me intolerable but how old could you turn a child without it physically being harmful and useless. So many things went threw his mind while they talked and walked. His mind always in the reality world and gone of to his science world.
Taking a deep breath she smiled innocently as she moved toward the diner. When he had politely told her ladies first, it made her chuckle. He found it odd how the ladies now days rarely found politeness or manners in a man. He even found himself laughing at the new age men who could not find love in a women. They just didn't know that a few kind words would get you anywhere with a women including your last name being theirs.
“Thank you.” She said as she walked slightly in front of him but not too far ahead, he knew that she still wasn't sure of him. He hoped to open the Diner door first, but she had beat him to the door. Shaking his head he walked in not to soon after she did. She looked around, watching her movements made him interested as to why she would be fearful of him, but he didn't want to poke around to bad. She seemed to be looking for someone she knew.
“Table for two please, Cara, thanks.” she said after finding the waitress the served him his hot chocolate the last time he was in the dinner, she seemed to know Bella, and Hunter showed her a small smile which Cara returned. Hunter had found this cafe to remind him of something he would have liked to open up eventually. When Cara returned a few minutes later, they were shown a table toward the back of the diner. He liked this little spot, had he would have know about it before, he would have came back here.
“Hope this is alright, I figured we could use the privacy back here.” She grinned, she seemed to get more confident and at ease around Hunter, he took that as a good sign. "I actually have been her once since your father had showed me where the farm I had bought just out in La Push."He told her, also hoping to figure out why the wolves wouldn't come knocking on his door demanding him to leave. But he didn't want to make her feel like just information, he was also looking for a friend. He really liked to communicate with the humans really, he hoped not to frighten them off with his slightly colder side though. But, as his name is Hunter, he likes to track things down and quickly get the business half over and done with so he could relax. "Also if you don't mind I will have another one of your Hot chocolates Cara." He said to the waitress before she had left. She smiled and nodded. His eyes went to Bella again. "I am no harm to The Cullen's family nor any of those dogs tracking around my yard making Spike go crazy at all hours of the night, but I would like to find Carlisle. I knew him when he was in the Volturi" He explained his oddness to her of why he felt the need to be so secretive. "Now Bella, no need to jump to conclusions, I have been a lone vampire for a while now, since they killed my wife and lover. To say I have a grudge against them would be a underestimation. If your the human they are after, I promise that no harm will come to you. I hate to see another person hurt from them. I'm more of a brotherly type to human females then anything." explained with a hard expression, almost emotionless. He hated bring up his past but he knew that if he didn't at least prove that he was no harm to her, she would be distant from him. Aro wanted her and he could now see why. Her abilities as a vampire would be very interesting but he could not clearly feel what because of her being human he under stood that Aro would do anything in his power to get Bella human or vampire. His head hurt and he hoped that maybe his head wouldn't hurt after talking about, but shoving that feeling down he shook it off.

She knew that most would say she was a good person, someone with a good heart, but recently she had begun to doubt such a notion, after all why would a good person hurt someone they loved the way that she had? Being a human, surrounded by vampires the way she had been a few years ago, she had come to understand them in the way that she never thought she would. She had nothing to hide, of course, expcept to protect the secret of the man that although she had broken his heart, she still loved....and his family. Most men would not have been as polite as Hunter was which was what made her happy. After her marriage didn’t turn out the way she had hoped, she didn’t know if she’d find someone that would at least make her laugh again as she had felt so guilty and it had torn her up on the inside, even if she tried desperately not to let it show.
It wasn’t that she was fearful specifically of Hunter, it was the whole situation. Being alone with a vampire could be tricky given the nature of things. She was relieved though when she had seen Cara. It made her happy to at least know that her old friend was still working there. She had ordered a coke, which Cara already knew before she had to say it, because that’s how well she and Cara knew eachother. “I remember coming here as a kid, whenever I visited Charlie. Ah, yes....La Push. I haven’t been down there since I came back, not that I think I’d be welcome either which way.” Especially given how she had left things. Not just with the shifters but with the Cullens as well. Once Cara had left she was free to be able to speak to him without fear of getting him and the Cullens exposed for what they were and that—although she wasn’t married to Edward, still cared enough about the family to not want that to happen.
“Yes, I do, know him that is...and his family. Alright....so you knew him back when he was still with the Volturi? That was a while ago...that also says how old you are....at least older than most people around here. Unfortunately I don’t think I’m the best person to point you in the direction of their family. I have no idea, I’ve not seen or spoken to them in years. Ah yes, the dogs....the shifters. They’re good, even if well I’ve heard they smell horrible. Although obviously to a human like me, they don’t.” She sighed as she took a drink of her coke and ran a hand through her hair.
“I’m sorry to hear that, about your wife..your lover. I have a grudge against them I suppose you could say. They would like to collect me, or at least Aro does. Because apparently I intrigue him given he couldn't read me the way that he could the others. He said so himself, when Alice, Edward and I found ourselves in Italy a few years ago....I’m not afraid of them. And I’m not worried about getting hurt or killed. Would be the least I deserve actually.” She explained as she looked at Hunter.

He watched her carefully as the waitress gave him a hot chocolate and her a coke without even knowing it was what she wanted. Those two must have been close.
“I remember coming here as a kid, whenever I visited Charlie. Ah, yes....La Push. I haven’t been down there since I came back, not that I think I’d be welcome either which way.” She said, her mood seemed to go down a bit.
He noticed her waiting for Cara to leave and when the waitress left she spoke. He wanted to ask her about the shifter but she spoke after Cara left.
“ Yes, I do, know him that is...and his family. He noticed it was a touchy subject for her. He hoped not to touchy. Would be the least I deserve actually.” She continued as she looked at him her voice a bit different then before, more with a bit of hate. He knew his gut was right about her. Aro would have loved to have him as well. "Aro wanted me for my gift. I can only protect myself against any harmful abilities that vampires may posses. Blocking my thoughts, blocking that fact that Aro couldn't see what I did in the past few centuries made him almost fearful of me but he still wanted me." He explained to her, his voice low but not to low where she couldn't hear it. He liked talking to her, she seemed like a interesting person to get to know and he hoped to be friends with her and get to know the people of Forks and La Push once again after not being here since who knows when he was last in the area. "I am hoping that Carlisle will recognize me, I mean back then I had darker and longer hair and well dressed a little more old fashioned." He said looking at himself right now. He sure had noticed a considerable amount of change to his personality and looks.

Memories swirled through her mind while they began to speak of Carlisle, the man who would have been her father in law, had she gone through with the wedding. A fact that had haunted her ever since.
Carlisle, Esme, Jasper, Alice, Emmett, Rosalie, and especially Edward were beautiful people even if they were cursed to be frozen in time as Rosalie had once described the state of their condition to be, never growing older, never moving forward. Just stuck in one time, as the centuries passed on. That was the sense she had gotten from Rosalie.
Talking about the wolves—and the Cullens especially always made her feel a little down even though she did it to herself. It was hard to talk about them to someone else, though mostly because she loved them so fiercely, and didn’t want them to get hurt. Even though she sensed that Hunter would not do so, it made her all the more cautious about it anyway.
“Aro wanted me because he was fascinated by the fact he couldn’t read my mind but then again neither could Edward. I’m not entirely sure why that is either. After all I am just a human.” She explained as she took another drink of her coke. This was getting easier, it just was taking some time to accept the fact that it was happening. “Aro either wants me because as a vampire I might have a unique gift, but also as a human he seeks to destroy me. That much I know for a fact.” Her tone matched his as she looked into his direction. So much had changed over the last few years and she wanted to be a part of it even if it wasn’t so easy to do so.
“Yeah, I saw a picture of Carlisle when he was with the Volturi, it’s how I found out about them. He explained they were the royalty, and that they were not to be crossed. That they don’t care for humans—except to feed on and to get rid of.” She was confident in this as Carlisle had done a good job of explaining it to her. Although she wished she could have repayed him the favor, but knowing she hurt his son didn’t help matters.
“A few years ago, the only reason I know what the Cullens are is because I—I fell in love with Edward. Carlisle’s son. You probably know him due to your knowledge of Carlisle.” She explained as she looked at him. “Edward and I were engaged once, but things fell apart....due to my own decisions.”
She needed to clear the air as best as possible but it was her fault no matter what she did or said, it would never be enough an she couldn’t blame them for hating her, for wanting her dead. Because she wanted to die, she wanted to end the pain once and for all.

He noticed as they talked more about Carlisle and the Shifters it made her look sadder. He hoped that bring up this family would not hurt her to much, he could tell already that Bella had a powerful love for that family, he understood why seeing as how kind Carlisle can be.
“Aro wanted me because he was fascinated by the fact he couldn’t read my mind but then again neither could Edward. I’m not entirely sure why that is either. After all I am just a human.” She explained as she took another drink of her coke. He had already almost finished his now cooler hot chocolate and had enjoyed it taste even though it had turned into nothing in his mouth. He nodded and thought of Aro, a man of true evil intentions Hunter always thought.
“Aro either wants me because as a vampire I might have a unique gift, but also as a human he seeks to destroy me. That much I know for a fact.” Her tone matched his as she looked into his direction. He nodded, and looked at the lady who stat in font of him, almost fearless now and that made him confident that he could trust this human.
“Yeah, I saw a picture of Carlisle when he was with the Volturi, it’s how I found out about them. He explained they were the royalty, and that they were not to be crossed. That they don’t care for humans—except to feed on and to get rid of.” She told him, and he nodded, yes there had been a few photos like that. He wasn't sure if he was in any, if anything his hair would have been darker and longer then it is now. It almost made him chuckle thinking of how he looked.
“A few years ago, the only reason I know what the Cullen's are is because I—I fell in love with Edward. Carlisle’s son. You probably know him due to your knowledge of Carlisle.” She explained as she looked at him. He nodded, he remembered the shy but very kind man Edward had been. “Edward and I were engaged once, but things fell apart....due to my own decisions.” She explained, a little upset. He now understood why her and the Cullen's knew each other. Bella had fallen for Edward and well things went from there, he pieced it together. "And these Shifters who keep going around my yard, they are? Harmless?" He questioned with a slight tilt of his head. He thought about his farm and how the Wolves seemed to keep a far enough distance that he couldn't see them but only their tracks and keeping Spike up at all hours at night. He loved his dog Spike but having that damned dog bark at 3am because of a shifter, it made him a little angry. Sure he didn't actually sleep but hey resting his eyes made him feel at least somewhat normal. He acted like a human for the most part minus the occasional forgetting to breath and some how ending up in the Hospital in NY was nothing Hunter wanted to go threw again. No wonder he hated hospitals and doctors. With that thought and a shiver going down his spine he found Cara again and ordered another hot chocolate and then looked at Bella and asked, "Any more Coke for you?" He rather enjoyed being able to talk to Isabella, and he hoped she enjoyed him talking to her minus bringing up some touchy subjects for the both of them.

It was hard to talk about Carlisle, and his family without becoming upset about it. She had loved them. Carlisle had been like a second father figure to her and had welcomed her even with the possibility it brought out, of them coming into danger because of her. Esme, that woman was more than just a second mother, she could see the love and passion that Esme had for everyone who knew her, and everyone she loved. Emmett, was as big as a bear and a heart that matched, from what she could see. Rosalie...was ice cold but protective over the people she loved, and that was something she admired about the blonde vampire. Jasper, even with his being new to the vegetarian lifestyle, he was a good guy and very knowledgeable about fighting which had come in handy once in a while. Alice, her best friend, someone with whom she had been able to share almost anything with, had a unique gift of sight and yet didn’t let the power go to her head.
She loved each of them in their own unique way and that was why she had been so protective of them. Her coke was almost empty as she had taken her time with it. Although she was fearless when it came to her own life, she wouldn’t dare risk another’s. Trust was a precious commodity and she believed that she could trust this vampire just like she had the Cullens and that meant a great deal more than he would ever know. Edward...just even speaking of him caused her to want to die. She knew that she had hurt the man she loved far more than words could ever express and she felt guilty for doing so every day of her life. When he asked about the shifters she couldn’t help but smile when he asked if they were harmless.
Moving another strand of hair out of her eyes she knew she had to answer the question. “Are they harmless? Yes and no. Yes, because if you’re human like me, you’re free and clear...they won’t hurt you. For a vampire, it’s a little more complicated than that. But I think by now, if they hadn’t attacked you then they must not consider you a threat. Despite the fact of what they are and what they’re all about. The one thing they do go after is what you are, vampires....except when it comes to the Cullens...they can’t touch them. It’s also partially why the shifters are kind of upset with me at the moment. I’m friends with a few of the shifters, maybe I can talk to them and see if they will stay off of your property, if you like?” She offered, though she hoped that they’d listen to her if she asked them to.
A few minutes after she had told him about the shifters, Cara reappeared. She was grateful that Cara at least did not overhear their conversation. She smiled at Cara. The woman was doing very well and she would have to tip her when they left. “Sure thanks.” She said as she was enjoying their conversation, for the most part. It was just somewhat difficult discussing the Cullens more so than anything else.

He had ordered the same hot chocolate though he admits after this one he didn't want more. His stomach seemed to be upset from the sweet drink. After drinking a little of the hot beverage he looked at Bella and said, "Would it be possible for me to met them to?" He hoped seeing as he was living in their Territory he always patrolled and made sure nothing suspicious was going on and he hoped to maybe make an alliance with them. He rather be on good terms with these people then bad.
