((This thread is open to Jason Dryden and anyone who wants to join the Volturi. If anyone does, please PM Cheryl (Of course) but also Alec and I because our charrie's have been sent out to study the Cullens and recruit new members by Aro. It is also open to those who are already a part of the Volturi.))
Jane let her crimson red eyes wander as she stood atop the cliff. Her classic, black, Volturi cloak was intact and the same tight and formal bun held her hair up while her skin danced with sparkled as the sun danced off the pale white skin of hers. Irritated, Jane moved to the side to get away from the sun and lose that sparkle. It was annoying, something you might see little girls who liked pink squeal about and Jane most definitely didn't work like that. With a frown, the blonde vampire gazed at the water below her. This was where Bella Cullen had almost drowned, she mentally remarked to herself. The Volturi had started keeping tabs on Bella once she'd met Edward and had made sure they knew everything she did. With a snarl, Jane glared at the ground below her. Jane was supposed to be the Volturi's main weapon, Aro's favorite member, The Feared One, but yet, some weak human can block her vampiric ability? This was unacceptable, Jane wouldn't take it. After all, her vampire comrades did tease her about it all the time.
"Oh, Jane! How're you? Yeah, wanna give that Bella girl a shot, Oh Invincible One?" It was enough to make Jane cry. Her pride was something she valued. She loved being at the top but that had all crumbled because of one human. A human. Yes, instead of the normal human girl's problem of romance and diets and popularity and whatnot, Jane had to manage her reputation which had started cracking in the past years. Sometimes, she wanted to just scream, kill someone maybe, just vent her anger out. Why couldn't she kill this Isabella Swan? Why couldn't she hurt her? This wasn't how it was supposed to go! It most definitely wasn't what she planned when she first joined the Volturi. Gathering her black cloak, she squatted so that her crimson eyes stared at the rocky cliff. Taking a large boulder in her hand, Jane crushed it angrily.

The burn, that craving for human blood was enough to drive Jason insane. He still wasn’t completely sure what he had turned into. Sure, he knew he was a vampire, but he had so many questions. What’s with the abilities? Why can’t he sleep? And the one that weirded him out the most, why the hell did he sparkle? Mh, guess you can say he always thought, if vampires existed, that they would be allergic to garlic and burn in the sun like in the movies. But man was he wrong.
Truth was Jason hated this. He hated killing people, but, he just couldn’t help it. He could smell and hear a human’s heart beating, pumping fresh, warm blood from miles away. And honestly, it was torture. Everything in him screamed for just one drop, but once you tasted the blood, there was no stopping. The hunt and killing part was the part he could deal with, because, well, the adrenalin blocked most of his emotions out. But afterward, he just couldn’t believe the monster he became.
But as weeks passed and he learned to control it a bit more, he began to shut everything out and didn’t feel as much pain as he always did when he realized what he had just done. Being who he was, a vampire...became easy. But he still had a long way to go, so much to learn before he knew what being a vampire was truly like.
For once Jason tried to run away, somewhere were there would be no humans, just him. Maybe the urge to kill and suck someone dry wouldn’t be so bad if there was no one around for miles and miles. But the newborn had no idea where he was running to and after a few hours the burn in his throat was so bad he almost went on a rampage. So when he caught the scent of a couple of hikers nearby there was no stopping him and he immediately altered his coarse to go after them.
After a rather messy snack, he wiped his bloody hands off on his black T-shirt and made sure to dispose of the bodies. If there was one thing the nomade he travelled with a while back taught him it was how to cover up your tracks. Jason, shortly after, tried to make out where he was. If there were hikers he must be near a town. It wasn’t long before he caught the scent of humans, and, well, he needed to clean up, so might as well go do that there and then be on his way again.
But the vampire stopped in his tracks as he caught the scent of another. This smell was different. Sweet but filled with fear. He narrowed his eyes curiously and wondered who it was. In his time as a vampire he only met two others. The first wasn’t all that pleasant and he ended up killing him. The second he travelled with for a while but that didn’t last long either. So who was this?
He stood in silence for a while, thinking this through. Should he or should he not make himself known? Did the other already know he was there? He didn’t really know what to do; this scent was not like the others he had picked up on his travels. Biting his bottom lip he looked himself over. Man was he...dirty? Blood on his clothes and hands, not exactly the way you should look upon a first meeting.
He sighed, shrugged and decided what the hell, right. Their vampires, he’s a newborn. Besides, he just wanted to see who it was. No harm in that, right...? Without another thought he took off in the direction of the other, being faster than most vampires, he was there in less than two seconds. He wasn’t too close, nor was he too far. He raised his brow when he saw it was a cloaked girl, not sure what to make of it. Jason stood there for a while, just looking. He was trying to decide if he should speak or just go his own way.

Alec had been in Forks for a while since arriving in Washington with his sister. They had been sent to find new members for Master Aro and they also had to keep an eye out on the Cullens. Alec did not know why they could not harm the human Isabella Swan. There was the fact that she knew about the Volturi and also about there being wolves nearby Forks. She could blow the secret out of the water but then that would put a lot of people she cared about in danger. Alec had wandered into La Push forest and he knew that if he ran across a wolf there would be a nasty fight and more than likely he would be outnumbered. He wondered where his sister would be at. He thought a good place to lay low at would be the cliffs. Of course that place was a place that the wolves frequented so they could dive off the cliffs. Alec decided to take a risk and find it. He hoped that his sister had the same idea and would be there also.
Once he made his way there his assumption was right he saw or actually sensed his sister around there. Alec said” Jane i know you are here. Come out from hiding.I do not think there are any flea biters around here right now.”

Jane heard the footsteps before she smelt the other vampire. It was rather curious as her smell was supposed to be better than her hearing. Nevertheless, a faint thud, thud sound echoed in her ears as she brushed off the remains of the boulder and stood, her cloak billowing about yet again and briefly, the young vampire wondered if she could just take it off but reminded herself that it was formal attire to be worn as a member of the Volturi so instead, she suffered the heat that it caused and the way it swooshed around her ankles, surely causing a future trip or something. Finally ignoring her cloak for a moment, Jane lifted her head to the sky and curiously furrowed her eyebrows with a slight sniff in the scent's general direction. Idly, her deft fingers played with her hair until, abruptly, her pale fingers clenched around a fistful as her blood red eyes narrowed. The smell of blood was strong on this vampire. A newborn, that was what she thought. Or maybe not. The best she could hope for was an experienced non-veggie vampire because newborns were the hardest to deal with even if they were also the easiest to recruit. Or maybe this vampire was a veggie. Then the blood might be of an animal. It was confusing as many humans scents were mingled with this vampire's and silently, Jane cursed herself for coming to a place where there were so many humans that could easily confuse her smell. Nevertheless, she worked around it skillfully like she always had to do in Italy and found that there was the distinct smell of blood but from human or animal, Jane had yet to figure out. Either way, Jane was on guard. With a soft growl, Jane shifted slightly into a defensive crouch but it almost seemed as if she hadn't moved at all but the changes were evident as the vampire came into view.
The vampire was pale, like all of the vampiric race, and as he stepped into the sun, and without a cloak, his skin was vulnerable to the effects of the sun on vampires. The sun shone brighter ever so slightly and his skin sparkled like it was made of a thousand diamonds. Instead of gaping like a human would do, this just made Jane frown and glance around nervously. If a human were to see...Quickly, Jane threw the newcomer vampire a large cloak from which she had been given from Aro as a spare although it was way too large. The velvety red and black cloak landed on his head and Jane had to stifle her giggles, the only reason why she did was because she realized what she was wearing wasn't far from ridiculous being a velvet (And very itchy) dress of a gold waistband and her mandatory black cloak with her red eyes visible. She probably looked like a cosplay person or something. Realizing how stupid she was, Jane quickly shoved blue contacts on, it was the very least she could do to disguise herself. Hopefully, no human had seen. What would it matter anyway? They'd think she was a cosplay actress or something of those sorts. Studying the make vampire further warily, Jane found that he looked much older than her, around his mid-twenties, with crimson eyes also. A newborn, then? Growling, Jane strode toward him and shoved a pair of murky brown contacts into his hands.
"Wear them, if not, I'll be forced to hurt you," She threatened, low and steady as she stared at the vampire under her long eyelashes with her own blue contacts, She hoped she looked threateningly enough as she didn't want the humans to have the slightest clue of vampires existence even though she'd already messed up earlier. If he was to go parading around with his red eyes in plain site, she's faint and the humans would still know of the vampires. It was always best to take precautions.
"And put the cloak on, there's no where to hide from the sun now. I should have come at night. You should have come at night!" Thus Jane blamed it all on the supposed newborn vampire but then shook her head with an eye roll as she sighed.
"Never mind. Would you spare a few minutes to talk, vampire?" She suggested as the wind blew in to make her cloak billow out as she paced the perimeter of the cliff almost irritably. And she tripped. She knew it was going to happen but she still was unprepared for the fall or the impact of her and the ground's meeting. The wind was blowing her face faintly and before she knew it, her face was pressed against the ground. Even though she was undoubtedly unhurt, she couldn't escape from being unfazed. It wasn't that it physically pained her, it was the concept of falling. It reminded her yet again of why she had come to the cliffs in the first place. In her years of being a vampire, many have tried and failed to make Jane meet the ground, to push her down, literally and metaphorically speaking. It had always resulted badly for the offenders but Bella Cullen, the plague, the bane, of Jane's existence had managed and the girl was just a human. Now, as her eyes stared at the ground, she realized that was where she had fallen. To the ground by the hand of Isabella Swan. Growling loudly, Jane pushed herself up and glared at the other vampire, daring him to comment when her brother's voice rang out.
She should have sensed him, smelt him, but she was too lost in her thoughts and self pity. Disgustingly, Jane lectured herself and demanded for her head to come right back down from the clouds. Now, as her twin brother stood near, she could smell him. Rolling her eyes at Alec's comment, she responded coolly.
"I am not hiding Alec. You can see me fine from where you are standing, yes?" She responded with a haughty flick of her hair while she put up her index finger to signal to the other male to wait one minute.
"And why would I be hiding from those flea carrying mongrels anyway? Are you calling me a coward?" With narrowed eyes, Jane turned back to the male with a huff as she crossed her arms over her chest with an annoyed kind of mood to the simple action.
"If I am to talk to you, or at least interrogate you, I must know your name," She pointed out and waited for his reply while shooting her brother sideways glances with raised eyebrows, like, "Really?".

The vampire stood silently, not a word escaping his lips as he watched the blonde girl curiously with his head tilted to the side. Of course he was on guard, fingers clenched into two tight fists. A grip that would crush almost anything and that wasn’t even his strongest. For some reason he had little fear of her. She seemed...small, innocent and easy to get by if there were any intentions of starting a fight. But as she turned and his red eyes locked with hers, he immediately felt a slight rush of panic running through him and shifted into a slight defensive crouch.
He examined her with question filled eyes as she examined him. He wanted to know what she was thinking - being as impatient as he was - but by the look of her attire, the way she held herself and that pure confidence in her eyes, Jason quickly connected the dots and figured she must be one of the Volturi members everyone he met so far went on about. Though, he wasn’t sure. He heard so many stories about them he didn’t know what to believe.
He was about to break the silence, but that was made impossible as a sudden cloak landed on his head. He frowned and immediately tugged the thing off, looking at it annoyed ’I am not wearing this’ he thought to himself, raising an eyebrow, clearly refusing. He looked up to the other, but before he could so much as breathe – not that he needed to - she was standing right in front of him, shoving...contacts in his hands? He looked down upon them with both brows raised, confused and slightly irritated by her words "Wear them, if not, I'll be forced to hurt you,"
His eyes flashed back up to once again lock with her now blue eyes and just as he was about to speak, she spoke again "And put the cloak on, there's nowhere to hide from the sun now. I should have come at night. You should have come at night!" she looked away again and he couldn’t help but clear his throat, softly, but it was clear that he was a bit annoyed ”Look, I’m just passing thro-“ he began but was interrupted as the girl spoke again ”Never mind. Would you spare a few minutes to talk, vampire?" she asked and Jason’s thoughts raced, contemplating whether this was a good or bad thing.
He kept quiet as he watched her pace the perimeter of the cliff, her cloak billowing out beneath her. But of course, Jason realized by now that vampires were swift, careful, and could never fall. So he didn’t bother with warning the other about falling, it would probably only irritate her anyway ”Uh, yeah, sure. What do you want to talk about?” he asked, being the ever awkward person that he was, even when human. His eyes didn’t leave her as he waited for her to begin talking, curiosity filling them, but part of him wanted to run and get away.
But before he could d so much as take a step, the vampire before him...tripped. She actually fell. Well, there’s one theory proved wrong. Guess vampires aren’t as swift and graceful as he thought. He wanted to go and help...okay, lies, he wanted to do exactly what he did, and that was to bring one of his fists up to his mouth and snicker softly. Not laughing when someone fell right in front of you was impossible, apparently even as a vampire.
Jason stepped closer, wanting to ask if she was okay. But as he took a step forward, opening his mouth to speak...the words just caught in his throat as he sensed another vampire nearby, one with the same sort of scent as the blonde before him. Jason’s eyes searched around him, once again shifting into a crouch, dropping the cloak to the ground along with the contacts.
The blonde held up a finger towards him and everything in Jason screamed to run. But he figured, if what he expected was true – them being Volturi – he wouldn’t stand much of a chance of getting away. The girl spoke to the other, and finally Jason could pin point the one she referred to as Alec’s location. He half glared the way of the other male, but his glare was once again focused on the girl as she spoke words directed towards him, asking his name.
”Why should I tell you...? Who are you?” he answered/asked, figuring if they haven’t killed him already he might as well push his luck with being his usual smart-ass self.

Jane stared quietly at the male. He seemed confused, a newborn, most likely. He was also impossibly infuriating. It wasn't hard to hear the quietest of laughs he had to hold back when she'd fallen. But he seemed careful, cautious to not push it and for that, she smirked. His caution obviously meant one thing. He knew Jane was part of the Volturi. And a powerful asset, she was. Still, he didn't seem to get just how dangerous she was and not knowing another's strength, especially a vampire, that was treading in dangerous waters. If he started talking to her brother like that, she didn't know what would happen. Most likely this vampire would find himself without a head. Or, in other words, dead. Except, surprisingly enough, Jane wasn't the one out of the two twins who caused death the most. She usually postponed it for some reason not even her knew. The only thing she liked to inflict was pain. Torturous pain and nothing more, that's what she liked. In fact, that was the sole reason the vampire's head hadn't been removed from his body so far.
"Who am I? What do I want to talk about?" She repeated quietly. "Both very good questions though only one shall be answered. I expect, though, with your good vampiric ears you heard the name my dear brother called me as," She paused. "But I also suspect that was only half of your question. Do you want to know if I am of the Volturi's ranking?" She guessed. It wasn't really a guess, actually. All it took was one curious look from him and she knew.
"Before I answer that one, I'll answer the other one. I want to talk about how gutsy you are being and the dangerous waters you tread on even now. And who are you?" Jane started conversationally. You'd expect the Volturi to have records of every single known vampire, at least it would be extremely smart but no such thing had ever come up and right then, Jane wanted nothing more to gather information on this male vampire. Information had value, but without none, she might as well be a knight with a sword but no shield.
"I'm guessing you think I'm an innocent little girl, yes? That I am a defenseless, pitiful little thing? Maybe you should use your head because any vampire with red eyes is dangerous."
And with that, Jane searched for a human passing by when she caught the eye of a tall and dark haired woman. They locked eyes for a moment, the woman's lips turning up into a smile politely. And...
"Pain," Jane whispered. It was so quiet, yet more chilling than the agonizing screams that followed. And now the woman was on the ground and Jane knew there was no escape in this one. She couldn't not show the male the extent of her powers without killing. Ah, well. Almost delightedly, Jane stood still and watched the woman writher on the ground, clutching her head, her arms, whatever and crying and screaming when suddenly, her struggling ceased until she stopped completely, her eyes glassy and wide, and her leg bent at an odd angle, a result to the woman's own panic for she had twisted herself. The woman's brown eyes still stared up at Jane's blue ones, petrified.
"And that, my dear vampire friend, is why you should not. Ever, mess with I, Jane, one out of the two of most top ranked Volturi member, my brother and I, perhaps you've heard warnings of us from other vampires who we've spared and driven stark raving mad from our powers? Hmmm, perhaps?" She said. With a raised eyebrow.
"And may I suggest an introduction? I can't help it when I get mad, you know," Now, she was smirking but her eyes never left his, preparing to inflict pain when necessary.
