Lost was something she totally didn't want to happen to her. She knew if she would have payed any mind as to where she was going she wouldn't end up at beach with a lot of darker guys and they looked huge! A lot of them where doing something crazy like cliff diving or even playing really rough game of wrestling. She wore a simple outfit and she almost whist she would have wore something warmer. She rubbed her arms and looked around the beach few people scattered here and there. She wondered if her fathers mother still lived out here. As a child she remembered little but they did come out here often. Her bright blue eyes wandered around. The shortish long silvery blond hair blew everywhere with each tide. She sat on a log that must have been here forever and admired the scenery. She was actually kind of glad she got lost, she liked nature anyways and missed out a lot being in the house or hospital most of her life. Her body still a bit fragile after almost a year of recovery. She sighed, what a fight she had been threw, her drunken father still occasionally emails her but she has blocks him and ignored the emails, the cancer took her life shorter then she wanted it to be. She looked up at the sun setting just below the ocean. It was breath taking. Pulling her cellphone. She took a picture. Yeah, her aunty told her not to go to far and she was guessing the Reserve was to far. She lost track in the walk and found herself there within a hour or so. She was happen though, seeing and taking a photograph of the sun setting was a happier moment for her. She was about to leave when she ran into someone hard enough to land on her butt in the sand, it startled her and hurt her a little more then it should have.

After six years she found herself at La Push. A place she hadn’t expected she would be. After all, the last time she was here, she had argued with Jacob prior to the day of the actual ceremony in which she had betrayed her fiancee and left him standing with his mouth wide open at the alter.
It had been a heartbreaking situation. But now, walking along the beach, there was no telling what could happen. She liked it here. And being a human, she wasn’t breaking any rules at all.
Of course, she knew the secret as to why some of the guys were huge and liked to cliff dive recreationally although even she had tried it once. It was fun though it could be a bit dangerous. She wore a nice blue top and jeans as she thought it would be a casual appearance for someone her age. At twenty four her life had taken a turn she had least expected. Her golden brown eyes scanned the area for anything peculiar, if there was anyone out of the ordinary here today. She knew vampires would be stupid to approach the area, but it wouldn’t be the first time they’d breached the boarders, as Jacob had told her when Victoria was still alive.
The scenery hadn’t changed all that much. But being able to enjoy nature, without disrupting it’s natural cylce felt good. Of course, things were different and she knew that there were risks with everything that she had done. She had not spoken to Jacob since returning to the area and felt guilty about doing so but she had no other choice. She wanted to tell him in person, not over the phone what she was doing out here. Smiling she was lost in the beauty of the setting sun. Now that the sun was beginnning to set it was the most breathtaking sight she had witnessed in a while. The reservation was nearby and that was where the kids who were apart of the Quileutes had attended school. Little did she know that by being distracted that she was going to bump into someone. “Ooh! Sorry, about that. I wasn’t paying attention. Are you alright?” She asked as it was her fault anyway that she bumped into the other woman.

“Ooh! Sorry, about that. I wasn’t paying attention. Are you alright?” Said the lady she just bumped into She got up, a little shaken. Brushing off the sandle she smiled. "I'm Catrina Landers and I'm actually lost...wondering from Forks and bit quicker then I thought...I'm in La Push ain't I?"She said introducing herself to the lady. She liked her brown hair and darker eyes. "Not to say I am new here, Ive lived here for a few years just wasn't able to get out much"She said rubbing off the last bit of sand. She loved this area though. Adjusting her hat she she could be warm and see better was something she always found herself doing. She looked over at the cliff just as someone was diving off, it looked like so much fun, but her body couldn't handle that kind of activity till either a miracle happens or something. She sighed, it was saddening for her not being able to do much activities. But she hoped that would change soon. She kicked off her boots and socks and dipped her toes in the cooler sand. She giggled and laughed. "I have never done this, I don't care if its cold it feels good!" She exclaimed with another giggle of joy.

She smiled softly at the woman in front of her. She listened when the other woman had introduced herself. It was quite a pretty name. “Nice to meet you Catrina. I’m Bella. Bella Swan. You’ve come a long way if you’re wandering from Forks, but that’s where I’m from. And yes you’re in La Push. I’m not new either, granted it’s been a while since I’ve been back.”
She chuckled a bit at that thought. Truth was she loved La Push, it gave her a sense of being home that Forks right now did not offer. After all she loved just watching people, and knowing that they were safe compared to someone like her who was clearly not.
“I take it you don’t really get out much?” She asked trying to be polite but she hoped it didn’t sound cruel. She sat down next to the woman and looked out onto the water. The water had always been peaceful but she couldn’t help but notice the cliff divers, wondering if Sam and his boys were around. Because if they were she would have to go over there...after all Jacob was one of her best friends and she hadn’t seen him since she got back which was precisely why she was anxious to see him again.
Plus she was hoping he wouldn’t gloat about the whole fact that she didn’t get married or get turned into a vampire like she had wanted when they had last spoken to one another.Today she didn't want to think about any of that.
Today she just wanted to enjoy herself for once without thinking of the pain in which she had caused. Knowing of course it would be just as dangerous to avoid it as it was to talk about it, with anyone. The only people she trusted enough were the Cullens themselves, the Shifters and perhaps Hunter Valentine, the lone vampire she met a few days ago.
But aside from them she didn't know of anyone else who'd understand it without being put ina situation similar to hers where her life was on the line.

She smiled softly at the woman in front of her. She listened when the other woman had introduced herself. It was quite a Spanish name Catrina thought about Bella's name. “Nice to meet you Catrina. I’m Bella. Bella Swan. You’ve come a long way if you’re wandering from Forks, but that’s where I’m from. And yes you’re in La Push. I’m not new either, granted it’s been a while since I’ve been back.”She chuckled. Catrina nodded, the name Bella Swan, she really liked it and hoped they could be friends.
“I take it you don’t really get out much?” She asked, Catrina nodded. "Yes, having cancer most of my life it sucks. You can call me Cat for short." She said quietly to Bella, trying not to draw attendance to the cancer fact, she quickly turned her head admiring the ocean and the people around them. She liked her shorter name then Catrina it seemed to old for her age. She sat down next to Cat and looked out onto the water. Cat liked the fact that she liked the water to. She noticed Bella almost looking for someone familiar. Catrina's mind hoped that Bella would be friends with her and well help her find her way back to her aunties. But she also wanted to explore but with it getting dark and her aunty putting a limit on her outside time she hated being sick, even with it gone she still felt like her life was on the line. Looking at Bella she smiled a bit. "So Bella do you know of any good book stores before we head into Forks? Anything with Folklore and old stories would be awesome. I have been reading a lot while at the Forks hospital and well a few of the older native ladies were speaking of good stories about La Push, I was curious." Catrina said, almost out of breath. She loved reading, but Forks had little on La Push history. "Plus my grandmother told me old stories as a child that I would love to remember if I could find the right books. And yes a lot of the older ladies say I am not white to be Landers granddaughter but I am. Grandma knew the whole town of La Push till she passed on."She said also, but now a little sadder, she missed her grandmother. But she had also felt the Spirit of her grandmothers Wolf protecting over her at all times.

“Yeah I suppose it does.” She said as the woman said to call her Cat and she smiled. “Cat, that’s a pretty name.” She replied as she looked toward the ocean before back towards Cat. Taking a deep breath she thought about everything that had happened, trying not to think about what might have been. As she had taken a different road than what she had hoped to take. Life was always on the line as anything could happen, between Cancer to fighting off Vampires. Life was precious and every day she was thankful for the time she had although in her heart she had wanted to die for hurting someone she had loved so fiercely. “I don’t know of any around here, the only one I know that I actually love going to is the one in Port Angeles. It’s got a big selection. I haven’t been to any around here, as the one I knew of a few years ago had actually closed down.”
It was bad business really, but she had hoped one more would open soon. She missed traveling close to pick up a good book instead of going to the library in Forks to get everything. “Folklore and old stories? Port Angeles would be your best bet for that. I read quite a bit myself. La Push, it’s got an interesting history...from what I’ve been told.” She replied as she thought of how best to approach the subject. She couldn’t very well say that the rumors were true about the shifters and all that. That would lead to them getting exposed....and she wouldn’t let that happen. Even if it cost her her life. “Yeah, well I didn’t learn anything about La Push until I returned to Forks when I was seventeen. My best friend used to tell me stories of La Push and how much it has changed. It’s been six years and I can tell you he was right. Alot has changed. Looks have nothing to do with whether you’re someone’s child or grandchild in this case. It’s all about the DNA. It’s there whether you look like someone or you don’t.” She felt her grandmother’s spirit looking out for her, but that wasn’t just it. She had the shifters looking out for her as well. "I have always loved coming here to the beach. The weather here may be a bit different compared to other parts of the country where it's not all wet and rainy but I wouldn't change it for the world. It's home."

“Yeah I suppose it does.” She said as she said to call her Cat and Bella smiled. “Cat, that’s a pretty name.” She replied as she looked toward the ocean before back towards Cat, Cat did think her name was pretty but odd at the same time. Taking a deep breath Bella looked deep in thought for a moment. Cat always wondered what went threw peoples minds, even children she noticed had those thoughtful moments that truly wished she could read someones thoughts but also thought of it as a invasion of privacy.
“I don’t know of any around here, the only one I know that I actually love going to is the one in Port Angeles. It’s got a big selection. I haven’t been to any around here, as the one I knew of a few years ago had actually closed down.” She explained again thinking, which then Cat thought probably about the Port she spoke of.
“Folklore and old stories? Port Angeles would be your best bet for that. I read quite a bit myself. La Push, it’s got an interesting history...from what I’ve been told.” She replied as that thoughtful look on her face returned. “Yeah, well I didn’t learn anything about La Push until I returned to Forks when I was seventeen. My best friend used to tell me stories of La Push and how much it has changed. It’s been six years and I can tell you he was right. A lot has changed. Looks have nothing to do with whether you’re someone’s child or grandchild in this case. It’s all about the DNA. It’s there whether you look like someone or you don’t.” Bella explained, Cat almost like she was avoiding something but she didn't want to push farther. "I have always loved coming here to the beach. The weather here may be a bit different compared to other parts of the country where it's not all wet and rainy but I wouldn't change it for the world. It's home." Bella said and Cat noticed she seemed to like calling it Home. Cat smiled. "It hasn't been my home long but it beats living with a Drunken father and cancer..Er shit...Yea Okay I had Cancer and not many know it so please don't tell anyone." She said almost pleadingly. "I don't know why but its like something in me is telling me to tell you the truth and not hide it so if I end up faints just don't panic to bad unless my noes it bleeding bad." She said with a nervous stutter every once and while. Not many could handle her sickness and her aunty had warmed her about this before she had even decided to come outside. She swallowed the lump in her throat and said on last thing,"Though almost a year ago, Dr Cullen had said I was cancer free."

It doesn’t matter what brings a person, only what they leave with, as far as what she had remembered hearing from a young age. Taking a breath as she had always loved the scenery at the beach. But it also reminded her of the pain she had left behind—or had thought she did. The memory that she had chosen to recollect was not a good one—but a painful one at that.
Port Angeles was a beautiful area—to be sure and she had loved going there to read when she had been here almost seven years ago. Port Angeles, she needed to make a trip out there soon...get a good book to read since her life had gone almost back to normal—whatever that meant. Of course she had secrets to keep because she couldn’t say anything about shifters or vampires. After everything she had been through she knew that there was a life after all she had been through albeit a different one than the one she had always dreamed of, a life with Edward Cullen.
“Home is where the heart is, whereever that may be. It may not have been your home long but it’ll get better. Trust me. You just have to have faith that things will improve for you. And you know what, you’re not the only one who has ever had cancer—you can beat it. You just have to work hard—and fight for it. I mean I know you probably have been told that by any doctor you’ve gone to—but I’ve known people that have had it and fight until they take their last breath to keep living—to make things easier. But I won’t tell anyone—without your permission. That’s something that you have to be willing to say on your own. Your secret is safe with me—I promise. If you end up fainting I’ll get help. I’ve got friends in high places. I tend not to panic, not after everything that I’ve seen and done—I don’t get scared too easily.”
She replied and then when she mentioned Carlisle, it brought a small smile to her face, recalling the gentle vampire she had once met and still loved like a second father. “Carlisle...er Dr. Cullen is one of the most brilliant doctors that I have ever known in my life.” She answered honestly, and wished she could speak to him herself.

Cat listened to her while looking around at the people that surrounded them, it wasn't horribly busy but she admired the humans bustling around. “Home is where the heart is, wherever that may be. It may not have been your home long but it’ll get better. Trust me. You just have to have faith that things will improve for you. And you know what, you’re not the only one who has ever had cancer—you can beat it. You just have to work hard—and fight for it. I’ve got friends in high places. I tend not to panic, not after everything that I’ve seen and done—I don’t get scared too easily.” She replied and then when Cat mentioned Carlisle, it brought a small smile to her face and it made Cat smile to, even though she barely knew Doctor Cullen she felt like she could trust the mane wit her life. Thinking of what Bella said she smiled and nodded. “Carlisle...er Dr. Cullen is one of the most brilliant doctors that I have ever known in my life.” She answered honestly and Cat nodded in agreement. She loved talking with Bella and loved to spend time but she noticed it was getting later but the minute. "Aunty might be getting worried about me, so you said you know how to get back to Forks so I shall have you lead the way." Cat said with a grin. She smiled at the scenery and took it in once more then looking at Bella.

She was good at keeping secrets, after all she had never let on what she knew about Carlisle, his family, or the shifters. Being human and knowing what she did, could be considered a bad thing but she enjoyed having knowledge that most others did not. It made her feel special. Given not many humans knew of the existance of shifters, except the shifter’s imprints, of course when it came to the knowledge of the vampires, that was an even more rare selection of humans who knew the truth.
Because the Volturi didn’t want any human to possess that kind of information. Even though she didn’t understand why, given the humans posed no threat to the Volturi. Taking a deep breath she looked at all of the people surrounding them, all of them going about their daily lives with no real idea of the dangers that lurked around them.
“Yes, I do. Follow me. Just don’t forget anything. Wouldn’t want you to leave anything behind, that might get washed up by the ocean.” She smiled warmly at the young girl and took a breathe. “I grew up here, so it makes it easy for someone like me to get around. We’ll get you home in no time, I promise.” She told the young woman, who appeared but nineteen years old. She understood that being new in town, she might get lost easily however she wasn’t afraid of getting lost, it was more of what she would run into, and more importantly what Cat would run into. Vampires generally did not come down this way, but shifters did. And where there was shifters, they were usually patrolling the grounds so that vampires wouldn’t get close to humans. Of course she couldn’t very well say anything like that unless she wanted a trip into a mental hospital, or to well end her life.
It had been too long since she had spent time at this beach, without there being reprecussions. After her failed marriage, she had avoided this beach because she knew that the shifters would find her to be their enemy...just like the Cullens had. She'd hurt too many people and that was why she was trying to start fresh, without a shadow of a doubt. She only could question whether her intentions appeared sincere to those she cared the most for.

Cat's mind wondered everywhere. She had a feeling Bella knew a little more then she had said, but never pushed it farther. As a child Cat always believes her grandmothers stories of the cold ones and the wolves the protected la push. Cat had inherited most of her grandmothers things, including the little cabin her grandmothers grandparents had built by a small lake just outskirts of La Push. She couldn't wait to have that house to herself at 21, if she made it to 21 her subconscious said quietly. She hated those kinds of thoughts but kept them buried within her.
“Yes, I do. Follow me. Just don’t forget anything. Wouldn’t want you to leave anything behind, that might get washed up by the ocean.” She smiled warmly at Cat in which she returned. “I grew up here, so it makes it easy for someone like me to get around. We’ll get you home in no time, I promise.” She said to Cat and Cat was grateful that someone could help her out. She was glad that Forks held some many friendly people so far as she could tell, sure there probably are some creeps out there but she enjoyed finding the friendlier ones.
Cat thought about the few late night walks she would take occasionally when her aunty was sound asleep, it was scarier at night time, always feeling like something is stalking you or even watching you. It sent a chill down her spine.
Remembering the few times she spent out her with her grandmother almost made her laugh and cry at the same time. "Oh, I miss my grandmother." She said with a sigh then looked at Bella, she probably wondered what Cat was talking bout. 'Oh, my grandmother was from here, most of her family was from Canada but a few generations decided here was a good place to settle. She had my father in Forks while his older sister, my aunty in Canada.Sadly she passed away." Cat explained at first with a smile then it turned to a frown. She loved her grandmother dearly.

Knowing the truth, it got a little dicy not saying anything. She couldn’t. With what she knew of Edward—what he was...a vampire, to what Jacob was—a shifter....she knew the legends, and knew they were true. So how could she say something? The legends—the stories, everything was true. She had witnessed it first hand. Being twenty four she had seen alot of things in her short life, although it had been only the last six—near seven that she had learned just what existed beyond the realm of what humans truly knew. She was just grateful that Charlie knew nothing about it.
There were some less than friendly folks around this area, and if she wasn’t used to the area, she might have been in the same position as Cat was. Vampires were around this area, so were shifters, so she knew that either way she would have one supernatural creature or the other—not too far away, and it was a rephreshing feeling, at least about the shifters. The vampires—well it depends on which vampire one came across. The feeling of never knowing whether someone’s going to jump out at you—whether it be from a vampire—or a shifter. None of it mattered. It was still spooky.
“I’m sure you do. Your grandmother was from Canada? I’ve only been there a few times. Most recently a few months ago. I’ve been to Seattle once when I was eighteen. Most of my family is from here. Charlie, my father, is from here, Mom moved to Phoenix, Arizona when I was a young girl, after she divorced my dad. And then remarried to a baseball player named Phil when I was a teenager.” She replied as she looked at Cat. “I lived with my mom until I was seventeen, when I moved back to Forks, to live with Charlie, at that point it had been a few years since I’d been here. Then of course I moved away when I was eighteen due to well certain conflicts, after my engagement fell apart.” She said softly, realizing that meant she had said something about having been engaged, which would probably lead to questions that she couldn’t answer. Family was the heart of what she had become—even if it wasn’t always easy when one dreamed of being with one, only to see herself run away from them in the end.

She liked that someone could tell her things like this and she shared a bit of her own story. "I was raised in Vancouver Canada, Mom passed away to to long after I was born so dad had to take care of me, when I got sick with cancer at eight he had to pay for the hospital bills and it was to much for him, starting to drink, decided at sixteen that living with my aunty was the best idea. Found my own place between my aunties place and the Hospital and am full ready to face this world I had been shielded from." Said to her new friend. Cat had liked talking to Bella and enjoyed that she ran into her. She hoped that she would find peace and new found love soon.

Family was a cruicial aspect of one’s life, and without it, it wouldn’t be easy. It was why she was grateful that she had such a love mother and father, in her life. They had both been understandably shocked when she ran, but they loved her nevertheless. She remembered the first conversation she had with Charlie and Renee both. It was heartfelt but sad at the same time. Reconecting with the Cullens was an even harder step. Alice had been welcoming, as had Esme and Jasper, even Carlisle had been somewhat decent. But Rosalie and Emmett were not as understanding. She hadn’t seen Edward and that was what bugged her. She missed him, still dreamed about him. But she couldn’t think of him now, because if she did, she’d not be the same person that Cat had seen.
Telling the truth—to a certain extent had not been a problem for the young woman. At twenty four years old she was still somewhat young, but somewhat older at the same time. She smiled as she watched the other woman tell a bit of her own story. “I’m sorry to hear that, I don’t know what it’s like you know being sick and all, but I’m sure he did the best he could...to try and be there for you. Ah, so when he turned to alchohol, you moved in with your aunt? I bet that was hard. Leaving your father to go be with your aunt. I’m glad you have your own place, because it gives you more of a sense of a freedom. Far more than what I have. I moved back in with Charlie because I don’t have the money to move into my own place yet. Aside from Mom and Charlie, I don’t have any other family, well I guess I have Phil too technically although we didn’t exactly see eye to eye on anything. But over the years I’ve learned that I’ve got to live like everyday is my last, because you never really know do you?” She replied as she had faced death more than once, with James, with Victoria and with Laurant, the three vampires each had wanted her dead. Two had gotten truly close to accomplishing that task while the other hadn’t even had a chance to strike. Laruant was killed by the wolves and both James and Victoria were killed by the Cullen family. She hoped to eventually find love again, that she might reconnect with Edward and maybe get him to see that she still loved him and still needed him in her life, now that she had her head on her shoulders once more. She thought about Jacob, and she knew she needed to reconnect with him too. If that was even possible.

Bella started to speak and Cat listend to the lady speak. She noticed something in the way she held herself, and how she spoke. It was like there was so much more behind her words, like she was still stuck in the past almost, Cat could never be sure because sometimes her feelings towards people could be wrong but it was also her gut saying so. She knew this because she had time to watch people from her window and learned a lot about not only cancer but the way the human mind worded, how people worked. She watched them everyday since she was young, almost feeling their emotions, so to say. She had always been in tuned with mind and how everything worked on the inside. “I’m sorry to hear that, I don’t know what it’s like you know being sick and all, but I’m sure he did the best he could...to try and be there for you. Ah, so when he turned to alcohol, you moved in with your aunt? I bet that was hard. Leaving your father to go be with your aunt. I’m glad you have your own place, because it gives you more of a sense of a freedom. Far more than what I have. I moved back in with Charlie because I don’t have the money to move into my own place yet. Aside from Mom and Charlie, I don’t have any other family, well I guess I have Phil too technically although we didn’t exactly see eye to eye on anything. But over the years I’ve learned that I’ve got to live like everyday is my last, because you never really know do you?” She said, again almost with at other side of the story feeling. Cat couldn't help it, she walked up to the lday and gave her a hug. "I may sound weird right now but I am sort of like a secret keeper, I kept everyting stored up here," She said, taking her out of the embrace that she had Bella in and pointed at her head while walking a little a head of her. "I may sound weird, Bella, but I kinda have always had a thing for peoples emotions. I can almost feel the way people are. But I know something is bothering you. If you ever need to talk I am open ears. I love listening and am some what of a councilor to the kids that my Aunty watches at her preschool." She explained to the girl while skipping a bit. She knew she should be careful, she didn't want to end up with a bleeding nose. She watched her foot steeps and made sure not to step on anything that could trip her.
