Daisy had been in the library here in Forks for a few hours catching up on the school work she had missed when she had been out of school following the death of her parents. Now she had been forced to move here to live with her aunt and uncle. She was annoyed, she wanted to stay in New York but she hadn't been allowed too. She missed her friends and even her old school. Forks had been a lonely experience so far but then she hadn't started school yet.
Closing one book and lifting the next, the last in what had been quite a large pile she smiled slightly before feeling bad, she felt she should be always sad. Daisy flicked through the large book before settling on a the right page, she was trying to read up on some of the topics she hadn't yet covered that her class had. She really didn't want to seem stupid in front of people that could become her new friends. Daisy was the most popular girl in her old school and she was sure that she'd make no friends here, after all she was extremely girly and liked to keep herself looking her best and of the few girls she's seen around town this wasn't their main priority, maybe it was the rain, after all it was hard to look great when you looked like you'd just been drowned.

Today she needed to get out of the house. Charlie was at work, and she hadn’t needed to go to work until later tonight so she figured she ought to do something pleasant with her time off. Taking a deep breath as she opened the doors to the library. She couldn’t help but smile. Reading was one of the things she had enjoyed as a child, and something that made sense to her when everything else around her did not. Her favorite kind of stories had been about fantasy, about vampires, about wolves...anything to do with the supernatural. Although, she had lived the life of it before. Having been engaged to a vampire, and her best friend being that of a shapeshifting wolf.
Once she had gotten the materials she had been hoping to check out she went to the front and rented them. Smiling as she went to go and find a place to read, everywhere else was full. All except for one table, and only another girl sat there. Hesitantly she walked toward her table. She wondered if it was alright to sit down but before she did, she thought she would ask incase this was saved for someone else. “Hello. Mind if I sit here?” She asked as she looked at the other girl who appeared to be in her teens.
She figured either this girl was in highschool or middle school. One of the two. Although she had to lean more so toward the highschool age. She remembered the days of the highschool. Of what Forks had to offer that Phoenix didn’t. Aside from the rain, the classes were equally boring. And the only ones she even happened to somewhat enjoy were the ones that she was in with Edward and his family. Especially Edward and Alice.
Although it had been six years almost since she had graduated along with the others, she wondered how differently her life might have been if she had followed her heart instead of following the fear that had driven her to act in the way that she had. Because not only had it broken the rules, but broken her heart and Edward’s too...which made her feel worse.
She sat the books on the table but stood in place as she waited to see if the other girl would even notice her or say anything. Ever since meeting Edward and his family, she had become more aware of her surroundings, and where the exits were just in case she needed to make one. It wasn’t about the threat of other humans, but the threats of a vampire were far more deadly.

Daisy had been so distracted for the last twenty minutes of so, trying to avoid doing any more work. Noticing a girl walk into the library, gather a few books and renting them out at the front desk. A few minutes later the girl headed towards the dest she was currently sat at. "Mind if I sit here?" the girl asked her. Daisy nodded before lifting away a few of the books she had had scattered over the desk and putting them back in her school bag, she had finished with them anyway.
Daisy put her head back down and started to read more of the book that she currently had in front of her. Nothing she read was making sense anymore. She sighed loudly, maybe she should give up for today. Deciding to give herself one more chance at getting her work done.
"I give up" Daisy moaned to herself as she slammed her book shut. She just couldn't concentrate anymore. It was useless, she was sure she was going to make a total full of herself at school on Monday and she'd never make any friend here in Forks.

Distracted was a good word that described the twenty four year old at this moment. She had alot of things she had wanted to accomplish by the time she was this age, although that had changed somewhat when she had met Edward, but even then, not much had gone in the direction she had hoped it would. Taking a deep breath she couldn’t help but notice the other girl put some of her books away to give her some room.
She couldn’t help but smile at the other girl. She recognized the same signs that she herself had done when she had first transferred to Forks. Doing research to keep up with where the students at Forks High were at compared to where she had been in Phoenix. “Don’t give up. I take it you’re new in town...trying to get up to speed on the subjects at Forks High? I was in your shoes almost seven years ago.” She couldn’t help but hope this other girl didn’t find her rude by saying so. “My name’s Bella. Bella Swan. And what’s yours?” She asked after she had introduced herself. Concentration had been lost on her with everything else that was going on. Panic had set in when she had dealt with her former fiancee’s family. Which was why she was hoping to forget about all that and focus on helping others, like the girl in front of her. Perhaps she could help, after all she had been a student at Forks High and their classes hadn’t dramatically changed that much in six years. She sat her books down on the table and took a seat herself.
“If you’d like I could help you study. Get caught up. After all the classes haven’t changed all that much since I was a student.” She offered, knowing exactly what it was like being in a new school and not having a clue what to expect. Or better yet how far ahead they were compared to her classes at Phoenix. But she missed being that age. The innocence of it all. Of course she hadn't been completely innocent, as she had gotten in her fair share of trouble, albeit not in school, but in the overall grand scheme of things. Especially when it came to her ex-fiancee and the supernatural things that seemed to go along right with it. But she wouldn't change it for the world.

Daisy stared at her books as she regretted giving up so easily. That hadn't been like her before but things had changed since her parents had died in a car crash. She sighed as she watched the girl sat at the same table as her without lifting her head. “Don’t give up. I take it you’re new in town...trying to get up to speed on the subjects at Forks High? I was in your shoes almost seven years ago.” the girl said to her. Daisy lifted her head and looked more closely at the girl as she smiled at her. "It's just hard to catch up and I just cant concentrate because I cant stop thinking about my parents" she admitted before regretting her outburst, it was so weak of her, letting others know her weaknesses.
"Hello Bella" she replied, "I'm Daisy, Daisy Norton". Daisy smiled again at the girl as she offered to give her a helping hand. Maybe having help from someone who had gone through what she had not that long ago would be a massive help. "Sure, that'd be awesome" she gushed, not feeling bad at all, she really needed as much help as she could get if she was to go to school and fit in and hopefully make some friends her in her new home.

Faith had allowed her to see things that others did not. Faith had put her in a position that she wished she could take back. If she could fix the past, then everything would be perfect. She would be with Edward and things would be as it was meant to be. She had never questioned herself when it came to most things. However, matters of the heart were something altogether different. If she had known then what she knew now, she never would have hurt Edward the way she had. And it was something she regretted with every fiber of her being. She remembered all too well the feelings of anxiety and she hadn’t had anyone that was willing to help her, which was why she offered the other girl a hand and was glad she'd accepted it.
“I know the feeling. I remember I was so afraid...that I would be alone. That I would never make any friends. And it took some time, but I did, and I’m sure you will too.” She said as she looked at the woman in front of her. Smiling softly she looked at her. “Sorry if I’m being intrusive, but you sound like you’ve lost them....your parents that is....” She hesitated before continuing once more. “It’s okay. I know what it’s like to feel like you have to be strong all of the time....or risk losing it and showing the weakness....inside.” She’d never lost a parent but she had almost lost her life once, and knew what it was like to have a parent’s life threatened. James had wanted to kill her, and would have tracked her down at the house and would have ultimately killed Charlie had she and Edward not led him away from the house. A fact she was ever so grateful for.
“Hi Daisy.” She loved the name. It was so pretty just like the flower that her name reminded her of. ”Nice to meet you as well, Daisy. Like I said, I can help you catch up. The clasess haven’t changed too much. And hey if you ever need a study partner, I’m more than willing to study with you. Quiz you on stuff for tests.” She offered knowing that she would have loved to have someone offer that when she was Daisy’s age.

Daisy smiled at Bella, she was being so mice to her and she didn't even know her, Daisy would never do that for someone, she was too self centred. Maybe this was her opportunity to change her attitude for the better. Normally the only person she was truly kind to was her brother Charlie.
Daisy listened to Bella as she spoke of her time of being the new girl at Fork's high and how she'd survived it. “Sorry if I’m being intrusive, but you sound like you’ve lost them....your parents that is....” Bella had said, Daisy had noticed she heisted, unsure of if she should say anything. "They died about four weeks ago, in a car crash" she mumbled, trying to stop the tears falling from her eyes, last thing she wanted was to cry in public. "And now I have to live here with my aunt and uncle that I hardly know and I miss my old life, my friends" she explained, the tears threatening to fall.
"Your being so nice to me" Daisy forced a smiled at the woman in front of her, still a little in awe of how she'd just offered her help to a stranger. Daisy had barely help her old friends never mind a stranger. She was however extremely happy that Bella had offered her some help with things and she would be eternally grateful to the stranger before her.

The only reason she was in this mess to begin with was because she was overly caring and she didn’t want to see anyone else suffer the kind of fate she had. Although maybe Daisy would be lucky and not have to go through the heartache that she did. Taking a deep breath she watched the other woman and smiled warmly to her. She had always been kindhearted—although some might say not so much given what she had done to Edward on their wedding day six years ago but she had done it because she had let fear of something happening to him stop her from moving forward with it. It hadn’t been easy when she had moved here.
But she had enjoyed every moment of it. Especially because it brought Edward to her. A fact she had cherished even after it was gone. Taking a second to reflect on it, it gave her the piece of mind she had desperately needed. “I’m sorry to hear that....but you’ll get to know them. It’ll take time but it’ll all work itself out eventually. But I know the feeling of leaving behind everything you’ve ever known—your friends...where you grew up to move to a place that’s unfamiliar—and different. My parents were divorced....both are still alive but I hadn’t seen my dad....in a couple years...before I moved in with him when I was seventeen. I moved in with him because my mom had gotten remarried and she wanted to travel with her new husband....and I didn’t want to hold her back from doing something that made her happy. So when I moved in with my dad, things were difficult...awkward even. It was like I was moving in with a stranger even though we were biologically related to one another.”
She replied, relating to what it was like to move in with someone whom she had barely known. It was easier than saying something that she didn’t really believe. But she and Charlie had figured things out just like she was sure Daisy and her family would in time.
“Yeah Mom said it’s in my nature. Wanting to help others. I guess it’s because I’ve been through the very thing you’re going through now....regarding school. And I remember how hard it was for me. Though when I walked through those doors most people knew my name already.....because I’m the daughter of the chief of Police....Charlie Swan.”

Daisy listened as Bella told her of how things had been when she had moved to Forks to live with her Father. Bella was lucky though, her parents were both alive and she had made the decision to move on her own. Daisy didn't have this luxury, she had to live here and leave everything behind.
"Yeah maybe it'll get better" she sighed as she thought of her aunt and uncle, after all they were only trying to help her and Charlie. It wasn't exactly there fault that her parents had died.
Daisy was so happy to have met Bella as she totally understood how she felt and how hard it was to move to a new school in a new place. She nodded as Bella said her mother had said she was helpful. She agreed even though she had just met her. "So where do you think would be to start?" she asked, keen to move on from the painful subject of her parents.

She had never been one to give up on a dream. And yet this was something she had hoped for. She knew that she had come to an area, in this point in her life where things were looking up, if only she could turn back the hands of time, knowing of course how different it was. She had not even given a real answer as to why she had done what she had done. Choices was something that the young woman had always had, even when she didn’t even know it. She had made her choices and now she had to live with it.
“It will, it takes time. Everything does. And hey you won’t be alone.” She said with a smile as she looked at Daisy. Daisy seemed like the type of girl that could make friends easily if she wanted to. Death wasn’t something to overlook, or think little of, and she had almost made the choice to die, to lose her heartbeat forever, which she woud have liked. “Well what subject was your easiest at your old school? Start with what’s familiar to you, what you excell in and work from there. That’s how I did it. Of course after a while, things started to get a little easier. You know, I made friends, and I started being more comfortable and more open to others, and it made the time—the time pass by without my even realizing it. ‘Course I was a junior when I arrived in Forks...but by the time I graduated, it seemed like only a month or so had passed instead of it being an entire year.” She said as she recalled her own time in the high school.
She missed it far more than she would ever dare say. She would love to repeat it though, so that she could make better choices. “And hey if you need someone to study with, I’d be more than happy to meet you at the library or something and help you with it.” The truth was if Daisy had wanted, she wasn’t too hard to find, after all Forks wasn’t a huge town and the fact that everyone knew she was Charlie’s daughter helped somewhat when it came to her location, however, it also meant she had to keep secrets alot. Secrets that she couldn’t dare share with anyone, not even with Daisy. She thought of the shifters, of the vampires, and wondered just how different their lives had become. Yes she had seen a few from each side since her return but not the two that she had dared to see, the ones that she had wanted to see the most, and that was Edward and well Jacob.

Daisy nodded at Bella as she spoke, explaining how easy it had been for her to make friends when she had moved to Forks a few years back. Daisy could tell Bella missed it, which was strange but then not everyone is like her and desperate to leave school.
Daisy lifted up a few of the books she had out on the desk in front of her and searched for her history book. History was her favourite subject although back in New York she pretended to hate it, it wasn't seen as cool to like it. Maybe she could be different here and like what she wanted and not care if people judge her for her likes.
Finding the book she put it down in front of Bella, "History, I'm good at it and I enjoy it" She smiled, feeling good about not being embarrassed about liking something she was good at. It felt refreshing, maybe living here wouldn't be too bad after all.

Taking a deep breath she looked at Daisy. It wasn’t hard gaining information in the high school, however, now was the time to focus on the here and now. Which is what she was trying to do. But being in the highschool was something she missed. Because if she could turn back the clock, to relive those days she would in a heartbeat. The reason she missed it the most was because of Alice, of Edward, of the others. They were beautiful people, and had a good heart—each and every one of them even if theirs weren’t actually beating. Judgement was something she understood very well. It was something she was used to, even as a child. However, time was just as judgemental as humans could be.
Time played a part in everything she did, everything she was. Being human, she had no connection to the world beyond it, she could only rely on what she saw, on what she knew to be the truth. She was never afraid to express her interests in things that others would find as weird or strange, but she was who she was. And was proud of that, just like her mother had been, and Charlie too. Living back with Charlie had made things complicated, and she had been able to once again reclaim the life that was lost. But now she was running out of time. But she couldn’t think about the past, not now.
Now she had to focus on the present. If she thought about the past, she wouldn’t be able to help anyone else. And that was what she needed to do. In order to keep herself calm, to keep herself from losing what sanity she had left. She smiled as she looked at Daisy. “History, I’ll admit I was alright in the course. ‘Course I had some help....just like I’m helping you. Granted it's been a few years since I've actually studied, but it'd be nice to get back into it. Especially since I'm considering going back to school myself.” She replied, keeping an eye on Daisy. Having been engaged to a vampire, anything was possible, and that was why she was taking each day as it came. Of course thinking of Edward now only drove her to feel like she was crazy, even if it wasn’t visably noticable.

Daisy sighed as she looked at Bella, she was being so nice to her. She noticed that Bella had a sadness about her she was curious but didn't want to ask incase Bella was unwilling to talk. This Daisy could relate to, she hated having to talk about her parents, although sometimes she had to talk or sometimes it just came pouring out of her mouth.
Since her parents had died she noticed how people changed around her, people instantly became nicer to her, even people she didn't get on with and back home there had been a few people she didn't get on with.
"Thank you so much for helping me, it means a lot" Daisy forced a smile at Bella. It was true she was so grateful to Bella. "You're thinking of going back to school?" Daisy asked Bella, "High School?" she wondered. There was nothing worse Daisy could think of was being at school when you didn't have to be there.

She took a deep breath as she looked at Daisy. She thought about her time within the highschool and wished she could repeat it but she couldn’t. Her time was up. She missed Edward—missed his entire family and wished she could talk to them but now was not the time to dwell upon it. Having lost them—a part of her had died as well. Ever since walking away from her wedding—or rather running away from it, she had never dated anyone else. She didn’t want to put herself through that kind of pain anymore. And she also didn’t want to put anyone else through it. She couldn’t help but smile at Daisy, it was a warm and genuine smile that appeared upon her face. “You’re welcome. I wish I would’ve had someone willing to help....when it came to school, but I didn’t have anyone. The only person I had—well he went to a different school than I did.” She answered honestly as she thought of Jacob. Oh how she missed him too. “No, high school, I don’t think they’d allow me back since I’ve graduated from there, six years ago. I was actually thinking of going back as in attending college. Though the only thing that’s stopped me is I’m not sure what it is that I want to do exactly.” She answered honestly as she looked upon the woman standing near her.
Since her world had crumbled, she didn’t know what else to believe. After all what kind of chaos was she about to put herself through. The idea of returning to Forks High did not even phase her. After all, things were different now than they used to be. Running a hand through her hair, she didn’t know what to expect. “I kind of miss the interaction that my time at Forks High...had, but I don’t miss actually being inside the school, if that makes any sense at all.” She asked her.
She hoped that there would be a better way of handling this situation. Yes she and Daisy were going to be friends, at least she had hoped for it. But to think of what could be behind the walls of the high school, if there were other vampires that were inside the school. She would be able to tell if there were, but someone like Daisy would not.

Daisy smiled softly as she listened to Bella talk fondly of her time at Forks High School. "College sounds good" she agreed. She looked at Bella again, "So do you have any ideas of what you'd like to study?" she wondered "Or would you like some help, maybe we could read through some course descriptions?" she added. She truly believed Bella would be great help to others, maybe a teacher or something although she was reluctant to say.
Bella was so lovely and kind and Daisy was sure a career that helped others was perfect for her. "I can help you find the best course" she suggested, wanting to repay the favour. After all Bella had been extremely kind in offering her some help with her studying for school. This was the beginning of the new Daisy, the one who wants to help others in need, the Daisy who cares about others. It was time for a change, time to be a better person.
